Would you go to a doggy disco and what would you expect.
Would you just like to meet other people with dogs?
Would you like to dance with your dog?
Can you tell me your thoughts, good or bad please?

David can say my reaction....

No. Just no.
The world doesn’t need this.

Pricklesinperil · 17/07/2022 15:30

Hmmm, my first thought was how it would be managed so it didn’t inflict undue distress on the dogs. As you know, dogs have much more sensitive hearing than humans, so I’d be concerned at dogs being subjected to very loud noise for a sustained period of time.

007DoubleOSeven · 17/07/2022 15:31

What sort of music will you be playing?

Request for Who Let The Dogs Out.

ApolloandDaphne · 17/07/2022 15:32

No because as much as I love a disco, my dog hates loud music and would be very distressed.

Tlollj · 17/07/2022 15:32

What music will you have?
Hound Dog? Leaning on a Lampost?
Who let the dogs out?

Mummadeze · 17/07/2022 15:34

Apart from the fact that I don’t like dogs, I would also think maybe it was something to do with dogging. Sounds dodgy!

figmaofmyimagination · 17/07/2022 15:34

I think the heat has got to you 😆

Baaaaaa · 17/07/2022 15:35

Studies show that dogs favour reggae. Well, one study.

Mally100 · 17/07/2022 15:44

Please don't let this become a thing. Please don't let this become a thing.

SweetSakura · 17/07/2022 15:46

My dog would far rather go for a walk in the woods

girlfriend44 · 17/07/2022 15:46

Music does help distress dogs actually.

OP posts:
NoSquirrels · 17/07/2022 15:46

Dogs don’t enjoy dancing.

SweetSakura · 17/07/2022 15:46

@girlfriend44 do you mean "de-stress" ?

girlmom21 · 17/07/2022 15:46

girlfriend44 · 17/07/2022 15:46

Ha - a dog disco sure would distress dogs

NoSquirrels · 17/07/2022 15:47

I assume you meant de-stress?

Some music does in fact distress dogs

VickyEadieofThigh · 17/07/2022 15:49

Absolutely not. My current dog wouldn't like it and none of my previous 3 dogs would have liked it.

TheRealMrsJamieFraser · 17/07/2022 15:50

Gr33ngr33ngr4ss · 17/07/2022 15:52

My dogs would hate it. When they'd stopped barking at lots of dogs jumping around in a small, loud space!

It's got disaster written all over it.

Catlitterqueen · 17/07/2022 15:52

Mally100 · 17/07/2022 15:44

^ This!

stayathomegardener · 17/07/2022 15:52

I run a dog park, it's not something I would ever consider.

picklemewalnuts · 17/07/2022 15:52

I don't see many dogs enjoying unstructured time with each other. I'm imagining not very loud music playing, and people and dogs milling about with the dogs getting overexcited and dragging their owners around.

I can't imagine anyone getting to dance.

NoSquirrels · 17/07/2022 15:52

Things dogs like: sniffing, eating, running.

Things humans like: dancing to music, doing stuff with dogs to look cute.

Mass social events set up “for” dogs but actually for humans to socialise are usually bullshit for the dogs, who have to stay on lead and get stressed out by being forced to interact unnaturally and follow human rules.

stayathomegardener · 17/07/2022 15:54

I'm fascinated as to why you want to know.
I would refuse to hire for such an event.

TheRealMrsJamieFraser · 17/07/2022 15:55

Succinctly put as ever
