Really it’s 19 and there’s a breeze. It might get up to 23 on Monday. I’m grateful as I don’t do heat. But The Heat isn’t everywhere. We’ve been walking the do in the day and I’m contemplating taking a cardi out with me tonight for the walk home from the pub…

Where are you? Lovely cool breeze on the South East coast of Cornwall currently.

GalesThisMorning · 16/07/2022 18:47

19 now, 25 tomorrow supposedly but I'll believe it when I see it! Still lovely and cool in the shade in the garden with a breeze and no humidity. My little cottage is 20 degrees or so, but will cool rapidly over night and we'll sleep with blankets on. It was hot for walking earlier but we have an abundance of rivers. Snowdonia doesn't really get heat waves in my experience!

Areil · 16/07/2022 18:47

Mid teens and raining. Might get to 22 on Monday. Raining again by Tuesday. 🙄

MeatballMeatball · 16/07/2022 18:48

North West, be raining by Thursday….

You need to tell us where you are or this thread is pointless!

Perfectlystill · 16/07/2022 18:48

(London and boiling)

WeAreBob · 16/07/2022 18:49

It's 19 where I am but with cloud cover, occasional light showers and a breeze.
We might hit 23/24 on Monday but still expected to have clouds and a small chance of showers.

Not everywhere is on fire.

Pootle40 · 16/07/2022 18:50

Was 20c and partly cloudy few miles from Edinburgh. Says similar but 23c tomorrow. Does claim sunny and 28c on Tuesday.

Thefriendlymoth · 16/07/2022 18:50

Gorgeous here on the South East coast, 22 now but a lovely breeze, bright blue sea and sky! Not cold but certainly not too hot but things look grim for Monday 😳

WeAreBob · 16/07/2022 18:50

I'm in Scotland, town 20ish miles west of Glasgow.

KnittingNeedles · 16/07/2022 18:51

18C in my part of Glasgow. DH has just put his jumper on.

We are just outside the snowdonia national park boundary. Long way from snowdon though. It's 25 today and 29 and 34 on Monday and Tuesday. Never known it that hot in Wales.

I'm guessing many on this thread will be Scotland.

Zetty · 16/07/2022 18:53

14c at the moment and it showered a bit when I took the dogs for a run. North Highlands.

CeeJay81 · 16/07/2022 18:56

*Sunday and Monday even.

StressyMcStressFace · 16/07/2022 18:56

Thank you! I am sick to death of hearing and reading about "this heat"! I'm in NI it was 20° today. It might 22/tomorrow 🙄. I love hot weather! I wish at least one person would have the good grace to appreciate the sunshine and feel a bit sorry for us under the grey clouds 😭🌫

mnahmnah · 16/07/2022 18:57

@MeatballMeatball

To be fair, the North West is a huge area! I’m at one end and it’s hot and sunny. My DM is at the other end and it isn’t that warm and is threatening a shower.

Thinkingblonde · 16/07/2022 19:04

North East coast, Saltburn.
Thursday was pleasant, warm but not too hot.
Friday was cool and rain showers, I had a cardigan on yesterday afternoon.
Dry and sunny today 25 c, it’s cooling off now. My potting shed was like a sauna, D H has put green net sheeting over the windows to see if it helps shade it a little.
forecast 28 c tomorrow.
We’re just being sensible.

Remainiac · 16/07/2022 19:04

It’s been a lovely summer day here (West Yorks), warm, slight breeze - perfect drying day for bedding! It’s forecast 30 deg for tomorrow but I’ll believe that when I see it. We’re in a village that backs onto the moors and it’s always a bit cooler because of the open space, we always notice the difference when we go into the city.

DramaAlpaca · 16/07/2022 19:04

It was quite hot here with a lovely breeze earlier (not UK, west of Ireland). It got cloudy a couple of hours ago and now it's raining! Still warm, though.

Changedmynamefor · 16/07/2022 19:05

16c and raining. Very top of Scotland.

Allywill · 16/07/2022 19:05

North West here again. It peaked at 21 degrees about 2pm. But very breezy in our garden (it always is) also a terrible smell of cow shit (farmer muck spreading) is why I am sat inside. I have a hoodie on.

Thinkingblonde · 16/07/2022 19:08

Forgot to say our normally grey North Sea was actually blue earlier this week. I can see it from my bedroom window. It looked like the Med.

Tumbleweed101 · 16/07/2022 19:10

Was 26C here in Suffolk today but I have a lovely mature birch tree and it was nice laying under it in the shade. Would be less pleasant if I'd had to be doing something though.

Leumurshavethumbs · 16/07/2022 19:10

15 degrees and drizzling here, in the Highlands.

TheFormidableMrsC · 16/07/2022 19:11

I'm in North Hertfordshire and it's been very hot here today. It's still very hot now. Admittedly dreading the next few days as I reckon I was an Eskimo in a previous life and love cold weather. All I want this week is for my Year 6 DS to be able to enjoy his last few days of primary school and the events that come with it.
