Really it’s 19 and there’s a breeze. It might get up to 23 on Monday. I’m grateful as I don’t do heat. But The Heat isn’t everywhere. We’ve been walking the do in the day and I’m contemplating taking a cardi out with me tonight for the walk home from the pub…

North Derbyshire here and apart from Tuesday when it was very humid, hot and cloudy then rained, it hasn't been as hot again yet. Not sure from the map I saw on the news whether it'll get really hot here or not.

Cumbria - about 18 now, 20ish and cloudy tomorrow and then potentially 27-29 Mon/Tues

20 in my part of Scotland (Inner Glasgow) and no breeze at all, but not too sticky. Predicted 24 tomorrow and 28 Monday- perfect.

15c in the Highlands and overcast. I’m wearing a t-shirt but when I popped into the village earlier there was loads of tourists wearing puffer jackets 😂 15c is positively tropical here ha ha

I'm in Glasgow and am really fed up with all the red weather warnings.
I need to be in London on Monday for a meeting so the 30 minute walk from Euston to the meeting and later the walk back will mean I do get to enjoy some of the predicted heat.

18 just outside of Edinburgh right now but it feels chillier, says 31 for Tuesday but I can't see it, the hottest we've had this whole "heatwave" has been 26 but it's still very breezy so it feels cooler.

We're in the SE and it got up to about 28 today.
All of the warnings about Mon & Tues seem to be detracting from the fact it's been a lovely week.

South Cumbria near the coast - 18 at the moment and predicted to reach 28 on Monday.

West Cumbria. I absolutely understand that what is coming is unprecedented and a risk to life etc but it boils my piss when I see headlines such as "UK to experience" or "Britain braces" in UK based media. Southern bias again and again.

It's the same in the winter when we get 80 mph winds and just call it Tuesday but when it happens down south it's like the apocalypse.

Very pleasant 22 here in Northumberland. Supposed to be cloudy and 25 tomorrow and then 29 on Monday and 34 on Tuesday. I'll believe it when I see it. We're quite high up inland so usually a few degrees cooler.

28 here now, South West. That's not that unusual in July! But then we are not quite in the dreaded Red Zone for Monday. Forecast to be about 36.

We're in the Derbyshire Dales and while it was sunny today it wasn't too hot to be out in the garden. Just checked and it's sat at 22c now and my husband has just gone off for a quick run!

South Devon here, not on coast. Bit chilly out this evening, cardi etc. But FIL hasn't slept for the heat? Hard to believe. Tomorrow highs of 26, 28 Monday, 23 Tuesday. Not exactly life threatening.

North Yorks here. It's been pretty chilly for the past few days. Today has been nice (low 20s) which is excellent weather compared to the usual shit we get .

They're saying high 20s for Monday and Tuesday but I will eat my hat if that happens.

Glasgow here, it's currently 19 degrees and has been grey skies all day. We haven't really had much warm weather at all this year.

According to the BBC weather it’s 20 degrees here in Edinburgh - but it’s definitely not that warm as there’s a stiff breeze.

I agree @HelloThereObiWan - I understand that it’s not going to be nice for parts in England next week, but for most of the UK is going to be ok. Winters up here can be brutal and we have months of very cold and unpleasant weather. Meanwhile, there are posts from southern Mumnetters desperate for their ‘winter’ snuggles under duvets and hot chocolate, because there winters are mild.

Yes, I’ve been moaning all week about the temperature others are getting whilst sitting in my cardigan with the heating on. It annoys me so much when they say Britain is having a heatwave when they mean ‘down south’ ! I want padding pool weather.

Coastal? We are right near Snowdon, and get the worst of the weather (unless clouds and rain are your thing!) I love the hot sunny days we do get, but am glad not to be anywhere near 34 degree urban sticky heat!
