..to hate this heat?

I don't know how I'm going to manage another week of this. It's too much. I'm stuck indoors on the cool side of my house and the temperature inside is still 30C. Anyone else hate the heat?

Thankfully on the coast in the North West it's just right. It's sitting at a lovely 22 degrees. Lovely!

It is the humidity is horrible. I was out earlier and could not wait to get back in. Am sat in my bedroom now with fan on so nice and cool. 18 degrees is enough for me but did love it when I was younger and lived abroad for a few years.

We've had the windows wide open and curtains closed all day and our bedrooms are currently 28°c. We're considering getting air con installed at this point as it's horrific. Ironically I am from a hotter country (although there, air con as standard and housing designed to let heat escape is the norm), but I really do hate summer. I'm okay until around 24°c, then it starts to get uncomfortable.

yanbu. I just get used to the heat and can cope, then the weather changes and I’m back to square one.
and I’ve just been caught nipping to the bin in granny knickers and a t shirt by complete randoms peering into my garden. 😳

@legaltigger oh no 😔 I was in my third trimester a few summers ago, pre-covid, and wouldn't go in to work in such heat! Working from home wasn't really the done thing at my workplace then, but I refused to sit in an office and melt l in work clothes. 🙈 It is good in that you don't have to worry so much about baby being too hot by the time they arrive, but it is no fun whatsoever being pregnant in the heat. A portable fan was my favourite thing, that and making sure I was drinking plenty water.

I absolutely hate it.
Forecasts for later in the week have gone down a little regarding temperatures. It's not forecasting 33 anymore in London. I hope they're right.

It makes me feel ill and grumpy.

I hate it. I got sunburned yesterday. I feel sick today, I've slept all afternoon and I'm doing everything I can to keep out of the sun.

Normally I love it, but at 35 weeks pregnant and massive, not so much 😂

@Loics it's horrendous! I have 3 fans on me at work and I'm still sweating buckets. Hate having to figure out what to wear! I can't just wear floaty dresses etc because chub rub is terrible so I have to wear cycling shorts underneath 😩

I do work in a school which is one saving Grace so I do finish in a few weeks but omg this last couple of weeks I am going to get actual heat stroke :(

YANBU. It’s unbearable and makes me depressed and anxious.

It does make me anxious too! I can't sit in it, I can't sleep in it. I just loath it.

Hate it hate it hate it. Been trying really hard to acclimatise this year but menopause plus other health issues and a sudden soar in temps here in Devon… just nope 🙈 Banging headache all day!

Will run a cool bath, put storm sounds on YouTube and have candles and go to my happy place!!

Also hate how you can’t complain because YOU MUST BE HAPPY AF IF THE SUN IS OUT EVERY SINGLE DAY 🤬

Yes I hate it I swear I get the summer version of SAD. It makes me feel lethargic, can't concentrate, constantly sweating, that background headache that never goes away, urgh. I am on the coast in the NW so luckily it doesn't get as hot as other places. High tide a bit later so I am off for a paddle to cool down.

I've been sweltering all day and only just realised this minute that I have 3 fans in the cupboard. I am setting them all up and will then fight the cats for them.

YABU. We hardly ever have this weather so suck it up buttercup.

So grateful to have A|L next week and will hide in the house or air conditioned cafes with my little dog.

I HATE summer and am envious of those that can tolerate the heat.

I hate it! I am very pale and burn easily, no matter how diligently I apply and re-apply sunscreen. My office is boiling hot and it's so hard to find clothes that are professional yet even the slightest bit comfortable in this heat. To make matters worse I'm starting injections tomorrow that will send me into chemically-induced menopause due to an ongoing health issue. Never going to be fun but in the middle of a sodding heat wave, come on!!

I'm loving it. Factor 50 and chin rub shorts all the way!

Just let us heat lovers have a few days PLEASE! You have more than 11 months of the year, with rubbish weather, I want to make the most of this, it's glorious!!!

I agree. But I'm thanking the gods that we have a portable air conditioning unit. The question is though, can we afford to run it all day, as well as all night?

YABVVVVU! We have so little properly hot weather in this country and so many months of cold!

Freezing cold icy snowy weather makes me anxious, not knowing if I can get to work etc.
Hate the dark morning and evenings, and scraping the ice off the windscreen.

I hate it! I’m starting a new job tomorrow in a dentists and I bet it’s going to be roasting 🫠
