How much is your monthly phone bill?

I'm with 3 Mobile, unlimited data. Was paying £24 a month but it's just gone up to £29 a month, SIM only. I can't afford this every month, I'm going to cancel it even though I know there will be a fee attached. I'm only in the contract until September so hopefully it won't be too high.
Just interested to know what sort of prices people are paying, I'd like something with as much data as possible as I use it a lot, minutes and texts are less important.

Most of these are sim only deals - I do this - buy the phone and sim only - I pay £20 a month for 2 phones on Tesco for my teenagers, I just said to DH it's now cheaper than it was a few years ago and they get loads more data!
I do think it's cheaper in the long run

Daisytomhope · 09/07/2022 22:14

I pay less than that for 4 sims with smarty. Think £6 but then there's multi sim discount plus unused data usage which takes it to usually £4.50-£5 ish each a month.

AddUpToNothing · 09/07/2022 22:17

I am with giffgaff. £10 for 15gb and unlimited calls and texts.

Superdrug do a sim for £20 a month for unlimited data, calls and text. This piggybacks off the three network and is contract free.

Yodaisawally · 09/07/2022 22:18

If you're paying for the actual phone that's why it's high, you need to buy the phone outright as a hit and then you get the sim only deals. Wait until your contract is up and then go sim only.

KyaClark · 09/07/2022 22:18

I pay £80. What the fuck 🤣

Fakerecords · 09/07/2022 22:20

No i bought the phone outright, I'm paying this price for SIM only sadly. Absolutely need to cancel tomorrow

Lds1 · 09/07/2022 22:23

eldora · 09/07/2022 22:24

£3pm, units texts, unltd calls, 2gb data.

ThinWomansBrain · 09/07/2022 22:31

ID (Currys/PC World/Carphone Warehouse) Unlimited texts and calls, I think its 5gig of data, but it rolls over if not used. £6 monthly

Yodaisawally · 09/07/2022 22:46

Giff gaff.

JaceLancs · 09/07/2022 22:47

£15 with EE

TokenGinger · 09/07/2022 22:50

I pay £10 per month for unlimited texts, calls and 40gb data.

They messed up when they upgraded and so as an apology, gave me the 30gb data extra. The plan I'm on should only be 10gb.

I'm with EE.

Notajogger · 09/07/2022 22:54

£5/month SIM only, no idea how much data but loads more than I use I'm sure!

Lysianthus · 09/07/2022 22:54

£5 with smarty. They're on Three network. Use abroad.

SkirridHill · 09/07/2022 22:57

£48 with EE, but that was a new contract with a new phone. When my contract expires in September I'll be going to sim-only.

RuthW · 09/07/2022 23:00

Giffgaff £8 a month

Fluffyfluffflufffluff · 09/07/2022 23:01

Payg on giffgaff, bung in a tenner whenever it's needed, so it must work out at around £3 a month?

SenoritaNaturista · 09/07/2022 23:02

If you travel in europe, be aware that post Brexit, new contracts now often mean being loaded with potentially high daily roaming fees while you travel.

Check the smallprint when you shop around….

Fawnia · 09/07/2022 23:08

£12 unlimited everything on Three, I cancelled same deal as yours OP when I spotted this deal on HDUK.

I have got Smarty for the kids

MiniMoosey · 09/07/2022 23:12

I pay £30 a month with sky but that’s for the phone too and I roll my data so I have around 200gb data stored in my piggy bank.

FarmGirl78 · 09/07/2022 23:43

£6 with Smarty for 4GB, with a couple of GB extra in reserve that I dip into every so often if I run out.

£190 samsung A41. Does everything I need and more.

These people with top of the range brand new flagship model just released phones with 473 million pixel camera, 9 led flashes, on unlimited data contracts make me laugh (not necessary here on this post). Unless you're blowing your photos up to the size of a duvet cover no-one needs that many pixels. "Unlimited data for £25?" "This other company does it for £18". "Ooh no I've got unlimited for £12". Its not a competition to get the most GB for the lowest price......its about getting what you need for the lowest price surely? Times are getting harder so paying money for GB you'll never use if you tried is just pointless. IMHO of course.

pedropony76 · 09/07/2022 23:46

Wow you sim only lot are winning!!

I pay £45 a month which is contract for the phone and sim. Once it runs out next year I’m not gonna upgrade my phone. Just keep it and do sim only. I’ll clearly be saving so much money

HintofVintagePink · 10/07/2022 00:06

£1.99 unlimited on an iPhone. No joke! My husband is a whizz at finding deals. Currently swapping from Lebara to Asda then back again on a free, sim only deal. £1.99 a month for six months.

Iluvfriends · 10/07/2022 00:14

£10 for 15gb data and unlimited texts and calls

Giff Gaff
