AIBU to think there isn't a single person out there who supports him.

Genuinely curious to see if I am wrong.

YANBU - he is a total dickhead and must go
YABU - he should stay

Yes, Boris Johnson does, but that's about it evidently. Oh and Nadine Dorries.

Bodice · 06/07/2022 21:49

Whoever wants to keep the corp tax low. Our small business of 4 people paid more corporation tax than Etsy last year. Will be setting up in Ireland if it goes up to 25% So will a lot of other businesses. Is that what people really want?

HarrietSchulenberg · 06/07/2022 21:51

Oh god, ssssshhh! There was some slightly unhinged sounding poster on here last night who was practically raa-raaing with pompoms for him. If we're not careful she might rock up again here.

JohannSebastianBach · 06/07/2022 21:52

Jacob Rees-Mogg loves him.

Pedallleur · 06/07/2022 21:54

Mogg, Carrie, Lebedev, people in Surrey, Brexiteers because he got it done.,

Not all people in Surrey thank you!

I actually think he did a fantastic job getting us all of those vaccines, and he is loved in Ukraine. If it was not for UK Putin would have won by now. I didn't care about the birthday cake and I think he made an error of judgement with Chris Pincher. I don't care as bout Kiers curry and beer either. Chris Pincher is my MP and tbh he does a good job locally but does have an issue after drinking with groping men. There have been others in the past. This is not the first incident. I would never vote for Jeremy Hunt or Sunak either. Honestly I think Boris has done a good job in terrible circumstances with Covid and Ukraine war to deal with and oil prices sky high. I know I will be unpopular but don't really care about politicians personal lives or petty squabbles just the big decisions nationally that affect us all.

RJnomore1 · 06/07/2022 22:22

I don’t honk there is a better alternative but I don’t know if that counts. Gove? Rishi? Raab? God help Us

Mum2jenny · 06/07/2022 22:23

Think of the alternatives, would you really want them??

PeppaPigIsBacon · 06/07/2022 22:25

Frankly I’d take any of them other than Jacob Rees-Mogg over Boris at the moment

CanaryShoulderedThorn · 06/07/2022 22:26

How did he do good job with covid?? We lost more of our population than any other western nation. Maybe you are one of his mates who did very well from a PPE or a track and trace deal?

GrouchyKiwi · 06/07/2022 22:26

I'm half in a He Must Go state, and half Better The Devil You Know, so genuinely torn. But mostly agog at how he is clinging on.

minou123 · 06/07/2022 22:26

Nadine Dorries.

Who seems to have joined this thread.....

dolphinsarentcommon · 06/07/2022 22:27

I have a feeling it's a case of 'better the devil you know'

There's no one of any party I see as preferable.

Fulbe · 06/07/2022 22:28

@caringcarer "I know I will be unpopular but don't really care about politicians personal lives or petty squabbles just the big decisions nationally that affect us all."
Like adequately funding the NHS or any other public services you mean? Have you tried to get a GP appointment recently?? We did well on vaccines because we have a number of excellent research institutions in this country and we have some marvellous people who worked flat out to make it happen (Boris not being one of those).
Someone on another thread put it well when they said Boris' best 6 months were when he was recovering from COVID and not really doing anything.

Fulbe · 06/07/2022 22:29

I read somewhere that 52% of people who voted for him last time would vote for him again. I have no idea why.

Oh be a love and share whatever you're taking, it'll take the edge off for all of us

rnsaslkih · 06/07/2022 22:35

I do, actually.

I didn’t vote for him and I didn’t vote for Brexit.

He was elected and his questionable morals have not changed since his election. He was elected with those morals. Everyone knew.

There is a war going on and various other fuckery. We don’t need egotistical twats squabbling over the “top job”. We need the incumbent to get the fuck on with it. British politics is more about squabbling and smearing rather than actually fixing our problems.

@caringcarer you must be on some pretty strong shit to believe the amount of bollocks you just wrote.

caringcarer · 06/07/2022 22:44

@fulbe, yep found 2 lumps a few weeks ago, rang GP and went in, got sent to consultant within 2 weeks. He referred me for scan which I got in 17 days then I am back to see consultant on July 13th. I have a NHS dentist too. As I said locally our services are very good. Chris Pincher is a good local MP. I will vote for him again as I don't care about his personal life. If he commits a criminal act I will leave p police to deal with it. I would vote for Boris again in GE. I won't be able to because he will be gone by end of weekend. I would never vote for Hunt or Sunak. I have spoken to many people today locally about 19 and many told me they would still vote for Pincher if he had whip restored. 16 out of 19 actually.
