AIBU to think there isn't a single person out there who supports him.

Genuinely curious to see if I am wrong.

YANBU - he is a total dickhead and must go
YABU - he should stay

@Eherrera I didn't tell you not to vote for whomever you choose, just that everyone who voted Tory in the last election knew that they were choosing a Government with Boris Johnson as it's leader. No one who voted Labour in 97 knew that Tony Blair would lead us into war. EVERYONE knew that Boris is a clown with zero scruples.

PineappleWilson · 07/07/2022 08:41

Keir Starmer - the long Boris stays in post, the less chance to tories have at the next election. Christopher Pincher, because he can then pretend he didn't get drunk, behave badly and bring the government down.

I was driving into work listening to them resign. Strange times indeed.

Spanielservant · 07/07/2022 08:43

The utter arrogance of these posters. Ypu ask for people's opinions and then take the piss if they give them. You are not superior, in fact, I lf you are as left wing as you make out, you are probably not exactly a high level tax payer contributing to society, let's face it. More like stay at home mum with tax credits. Actually you need people like some of the posters on here to fund your lifestyle.

@fulbe, yep found 2 lumps a few weeks ago, rang GP and went in, got sent to consultant within 2 weeks. He referred me for scan which I got in 17 days then I am back to see consultant on July 13th. I have a NHS dentist too. As I said locally our services are very good. Chris Pincher is a good local MP. I will vote for him again as I don't care about his personal life. If he commits a criminal act I will leave p police to deal with it. I would vote for Boris again in GE. I won't be able to because he will be gone by end of weekend. I would never vote for Hunt or Sunak. I have spoken to many people today locally about 19 and many told me they would still vote for Pincher if he had whip restored. 16 out of 19 actually.

By that logic you'd be comfortable working with gropers, rapists and paedophiles because you don't care about their "personal lives" but so a they do a good job at work then it's all fine? Nice.

Sorry but by now it's scientific fact that, all other things being equal, a person who doesn't think Johnson is a bad prime-minster is a lower form of life than a person who does.

All you're saying with this post is

  1. You're a sex pest apologist
  2. You consort with sex pest apologists.
dolphinsarentcommon · 07/07/2022 08:58

@caringcarer I'm sorry you're having such a stressful time and I hope things turn out to be less serious than you fear.

I'd ignore the rest of the bollocks FlowersFlowers

SquirrelSoShiny · 07/07/2022 09:07

I think the most depressing thing is seeing that people would still vote for a man of so little integrity.

SleeplessInEngland · 07/07/2022 09:11

Multiple soures saying he will actually, finally, fuck off this morning, albeit acting as a caretaker to save face.

That sounds like the sort of bollocks BJ himself would spout.

Looks like he's agreed to go at last thank goodness

ReviewingTheSituation · 07/07/2022 09:14

Thankfully, this all seems academic as he is about to resign. At last.

Fluffygreenslippers · 07/07/2022 09:20

Johnson is the best one out of his cabinet, and I don’t mean that as a compliment!

No your utter ignorance.

What is worse? ignorance or arrogance?

I'm very far left of most people posting on mainstream politics, and I've never claimed benefits.

What is more, it is private capital exploitation, to exploit both workers through low pay and tax payers to make up the deficit between low wages and cost of the reproduction of labour. There is little effective demand, low wages, huge wealth accumulated at the top with no rational place for it to be reinvested, and ordinary people both in and out of work unable to meet a basic standard of living.

Think of the alternatives, would you really want them??

How could the alternatives been any worse than the absolute circus we've seen over the last couple of years?

saltwaterandsuncream · 07/07/2022 09:32

@Spanielservant ....... Priti? Is that you?

caringcarer · Yesterday 22:20
I actually think he did a fantastic job getting us all of those vaccines, and he is loved in Ukraine. If it was not for UK Putin would have won by now. I didn't care about the birthday cake and I think he made an error of judgement with Chris Pincher. I don't care as bout Kiers curry and beer either. Chris Pincher is my MP and tbh he does a good job locally but does have an issue after drinking with groping men. There have been others in the past. This is not the first incident. I would never vote for Jeremy Hunt or Sunak either. Honestly I think Boris has done a good job in terrible circumstances with Covid and Ukraine war to deal with and oil prices sky high. I know I will be unpopular but don't really care about politicians personal lives or petty squabbles just the big decisions nationally that affect us all.“

he did not “get us all those vaccines”. Kate Bingham was responsible for the programme.

you may not care whether our PM has not a shred of integrity but most people do.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 07/07/2022 09:40

FrasierCraneDay · 06/07/2022 23:09

Oh @worriedatthistime I forgot this one. I respect all victims of sexual assault, myself included, while our pm makes excuses about having issues with alcohol. I sincerely hope this will make you, well, become human

If you can't stop shouting other posters down then I think you should actually pipe down. This is a thread on a chatboard, no more, no less. worried has been polite to you in response to your rant.

Boris is a known quantity. I agree with PP that he should stay until the next GE because - hopefully - that would get the Tories out for good. He's a clown and a dangerous one but, until somebody gets into power we actually don't know what they're like. They ALL talk a good game.

I want the Tories out but at the same time, have zero confidence in any party to delivery. That's the shame of British politics.

Jessica2011 · 07/07/2022 09:44

I have no faith in any of these politician's. Only look out for themselves. Its a mess!!

ThinWomansBrain · 07/07/2022 09:47

You could vote for one or the other, if you happen to live in one of their constituencies - you can't vote for both without commiting electoral fraud.

Strangertingz · 07/07/2022 09:48

@caringcarer sexual predators deserve to be in prison. NOT in positions of power running your constituency. It's actually really disgusting and offensive to victims of sexual assault that you say you 'I don't care about his personal life' and would vote for him again. Revolting attitude.

pointythings · 07/07/2022 09:49

Left wing as fuck here, also net contributor. Your sneering attitude towards people who are left wing, painting all of us as benefit scroungers, is typical of the hardcore Tory voter.

The vaccine rollout was a success because the NHS mobilised to make it one. I was part of it, so I know.

Not a mum, not on a benefits, no one is funding my life style, still manage to be left wing

But you know what, I actually happen to think that stay at home mums, people on benefits and lower wage earners get to have opinions be they left or right leaning and that doesn't make their opinions any less valid.

So when you talk about arrogance the sheer arrogance of someone implying that a stay at home mum on tax credits opinion would be less valid is breath taking.
