Whenever the Conservatives have a big majority, they turn on their leader. I think Boris is a flawed personality who has made too many mistakes, but I think people are being unfair on the specific issue of remembering what he was told about someone three years ago. He’s the best of a bad bunch, honestly looking at all the parties and the possibilities who would people actually want? Genuine question because I don’t have the answer, they all need to go and get people running the country who understand the economy, household budgets, businesses from self employed one man bands to large corporations and the global stage because non of the current party leaders and front/back benches have a clue!

@caringcarer I'm glad you've been referred quickly. However, I know several people who are dying or have died due to a lack of prompt access to cancer care in the last couple of years. I also wouldn't credit Boris for access to the vaccines. I would credit him for failing to turn up to COBRA meetings at the start of the pandemic though, because he wasn't taking it seriously.

I'd also credit him for shaking everyone's hands and smirking about it, and then catching Covid. I'd credit him for hiding in a fridge.

I'd credit him for inappropriate behaviour in the workplace with his then mistress.

I'd credit him for me and my loved ones not being able to attend funerals and not being able to grieve properly.

I think anything positive has happened despite him, not because of him.

I am so glad you got seen promptly, genuinely and wish you all the best on that. Sadly neither my friend nor another friend's Mum were seen promptly and by the time they were finally seen were terminal.Their funerals were heartbreaking, especially as both families were left wondering whether the outcome could have been different without delays.

I see what you are saying about keeping personal and professional lives separate, but if someone shows such poor judgement in their personal lives, I personally couldn't vote for them nor trust them in their professional conduct.
