To hope Johnson doesn't resign?

Because if he clings on until the next GE, he'll be completely unelectable and we'll be rid of the Tories.

I'm hoping he digs his heels in just like he always has, even though by rights he should be fucking off with his tail between his legs.

Gove has told him to go now as well !

Someone is obviously lined up now wonder who it is ....

I really don’t think Boris Johnson cares that much the house is laughing at him he thinks of a different wave length and thinks he is superior to everyone

As Mick Lynch said, "he's unembarrassable"

mbosnz · 06/07/2022 14:43

Honestly, you'd think given the practice he's had, the dude would be better about being sacked, by now. . .

I'm sorry I wasn't clear, I meant to say the anti Johnson faction is not split Leave/Remain, it covers all areas now.

Excluding a few rebels it is precisely split leave and remain. The same old remain fanatical MPs are coming out of the wood work. Roger Gale, Alex Chalk, Sajid, etc etc

This IS another round of brexit power play - it’s just been hidden more carefully this time

HannahSternDefoe · 06/07/2022 14:47

Ladbrokes current odds for next PM

Penny Mordaunt 5/1
Rishi 6/1
Saj 8/1
Ben Wallace 9/1
Liz Truss 9/1
Dom Raab 😂 10/1
Jacob RM 66/1

The Paterson saga was bad enough. Mysteriously funded holidays in Mystique, cronyism with Covid contracts - vast sums of public money handed out via VIP lanes to friends and families, wallpaper paid for by donors (and relevant messages going missing), attempts to get tax payers funded jobs for his lover, Russian cash and contacts swilling around the Conservatives, Lord Lebedev of Siberia in House of Lords once a year, lying about breaking Covid legislation, lying to the Queen, Parliament and the public and appointing Pincher knowing he had complaints upheld against him.

@apintortwo

You’re right - national debt isn’t the best measure due to external international factors. So what comparable policy and data shall we look at instead:

  • social mobility and poverty
  • healthcare
  • education
  • infrastructure
🤔 Please enlighten us.

Add to that lying and misleading parliament etc. and you have someone who needs to go on behaviour alone irrespective of anything else.

I don’t vote Tory but can respect other leaders like Theresa May. She has a work ethic and respect for the office. This joker…

the80sweregreat · 06/07/2022 14:50

Lots are jumping now.
There are a lot of people in the Westminster lobby ! They seem to be waiting for something to happen.

mbosnz · 06/07/2022 14:51

Speaking of Theresa May. . . wonder how her day is going?!

SleeplessInEngland · 06/07/2022 14:51

Reminder that the sex pest who started this latest clusterfuck - Chris Pincher - still hasn't resigned as MP.

Including the countless 2019 intakes who have called for him to resign? I guess they also won their seats on a 'get us back in the EU' platform?

Provenceinthesummer · 06/07/2022 14:54

We are now in the throes of watching remain trying to wrestle back the power so they can put the brakes on brexit - a desperate plot to yet again overthrow democracy.

People are not stupid - no one can be under any illusion now.

DowningStreetParty · 06/07/2022 14:55

Pincher seems to be no more contrite than any of them.

Provenceinthesummer · 06/07/2022 14:55

We have no idea how the 2019 intake voters, so we have to discount them. They only have a job because of Boris that’s the joke in all of this! Without Boris they would be stacking shelves.

I've come to offer my condolences to the Boris fangirls watching their hero crash and burn. As Lord Adonis adroitly said Boris goes then Brexit....

DowningStreetParty · 06/07/2022 14:58

Errr.. no, this isn’t about Brexit. We’re in 2022 now ProvenceintheSummer

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 06/07/2022 14:58

Boris is toast. More Ministers have gone and Liam Fox is calling for him to go.

Well I'm not a 'fangirl' thanks. What an unpleasant, misogynistic comment!

Rather he was far, far better than the alternative in 2019 and has done a good job throughout the pandemic.

We no longer have Remainers. We have left the EU, "remaining" is no longer an option.🙄

apintortwo · 06/07/2022 15:00

Everyone else is remain

Except people have voted for Brexit. Don't voters matter?

SleeplessInEngland · 06/07/2022 15:00

We have no idea how the 2019 intake voters, so we have to discount them.

Take it from their twitter feeds: the majority are brexit nutters supporters. It was basically the job description for that election in regaining the red wall.

But hey, I'm sure they were just remainers in disguise. God, those remainers are crafty.
