AIBU here? My neighbour constantly throws food out to the birds, anything goes. I’m fed up with it,

Seagulls are a nuisance. We live on the coast, they are everywhere, they raid bins, and make a mess. You have to secure your bin lids down or they get them open.

I got divebombed by one yesterday when I was just sitting in the garden eating my dinner. I was lucky it didn't get my food but it was a close run.

We don't feed the birds, don't have any kind of feeder up because it would just attract gulls and pigeons and I don't want them in our small garden.

Faux grass you say, OP. Make sure you use pet friendly zoflora , in that case, to clean it.

I don't feed the birds and my garden is always full of them. The dog tried to make friends with the flock of crows that hang out in the corner on a morning when he was a puppy. It did not go the way he planned . He now checks for crows before leaving the house.

Very unlikely for this to be cats, they need something to scratch. Much much more likely to be foxes. If foxes are getting to the food that’s left out they will shit, and in that case neighbours are being unreasonable .

Poor birds. They tuck into some lovely tasty fare, not knowing that the chef has a cat! And then they fly off and release their digested dinner into a lucky bairn, but the bairn's mother takes objection.

I think you’re getting an unfair ride here, OP.

If the neighbour habitually feeds the birds, they will congregate in much higher numbers than normal… so more poo, too.

Maybe you could ask them to tone it down just a bit- feed them once or twice a week?

I love feeding the birds and if you told me to stop, I would very politely tell you where to go.

I think fake grass is disgusting but I wouldn’t demand that you got rid of yours.
