What is with these fragile men?

PashunFroot · 17/06/2022 19:31

Went through a drive thru this evening, ordered at the speaker and then pulled forward as much as I could but as it was rammed I couldn’t pull forward anymore.

omg the tantrum that the tiny dicked Mercedes man had behind me. Screaming “you fucking cunt!” “I’ll smash your head you fucking whore!” Etc while aggressively slamming forwards as if he was going to ram the back of my car. I just laughed at him in my mirror which made him even angrier but Jesus Christ I’ve never seen anything like it! The men in the van next to us were also laughing at him and out of spite I just sat and let the next 3 cars go ahead of me.

What actually is wrong with people. I guarantee if I was a man, or had my hangry husband with me he wouldnt have done any of those things to me.

Because I had my kids with me I felt like I then couldn’t go and park up invade he approached the car. All that over not being able to a bloody burger straight away.

I read this OP and was quite shocked to be honest! I'm impressed you are taking it so well. The man sounds positively deranged, not fragile. What an absolute wanker. I hope you and your DC are ok!

PashunFroot · 17/06/2022 20:05

I’m fine, he looked so ridiculous! Everyone was staring and laughing at him which just made him so mad. I get people have bad days but come on 🤣

Pastaa · 17/06/2022 20:08

If it were me I'd be worried he'd come out and smash the windows. I would've moved away as fast as I could. He might've been on drugs or had a gun on him.
I wouldn't say that was fragile behaviour though. Explosive rage perhaps.

teenagerinlove · 17/06/2022 20:08

Yup the other people laughing at him is brilliant I agree.

I can't imagine ever feeling so angry about a burger queue! Maybe he really, really needed that Big Mac!

DrDreReturns · 17/06/2022 20:10

That's not fragile, that's a psychopath.

Whiskeypowers · 17/06/2022 20:10

You should have put your hazards on and stated your broken down

Whiskeypowers · 17/06/2022 20:11

*you’d broken down

He’d have gone full on Michael Douglas in Falling Down though so perhaps not 🤪😬🤣

🤣

Samcro · 17/06/2022 20:12

Fragile
he was a knob

PashunFroot · 17/06/2022 20:12

If I didn’t have my kids with me I probably would have wound him up more but didn’t want to take the risk haha!

Her what?

Pastaa · 17/06/2022 20:13

I tend to grey rock when I see someone unreasonably angry and irate at something so inconsequential or even a minor inconvenience, not goad him and hang around! You're braver than me and know the buttons to push him: laughing at him, purposefully letting cars pass when you know he was very agitated. Even your choice here calling them fragile men.. you know all the buttons.. I'm not saying you were wrong, I'm saying it's like you're fearless from consequences as I have seen things escalate and men flip so violently I daren't confront or stir up any additional hostility. My reaction is very much flight or freeze.

PashunFroot · 17/06/2022 20:15

@Pastaa I’m aware I am very confrontational person. Definitely not saying it’s right, but I just am.

I always laugh at people who are “road raging” at me in the car. Winds them up even more. (But always make sure the doors are locked!)

I think people (especially men) are more inclined to act abusive and aggressive from inside their own vehicles is because that vehicle is a ‘safety barrier’ for them.

He wouldn’t have acted that way if he was stood behind you in a queue inside the restaurant. But because he was in the safety of his own car, he felt cocky and entitled to act like a complete psycho in order to intimidate -due to his own impatience.

maisieandvicks · 17/06/2022 20:16

I’ve never understood the reason why people are so brave when inside their vehicles. Because guaranteed 95% of drivers would not have the same energy if on foot.

I feel horrible for you and the fact that you had your children in the car OP. That’s horrible.

Hope they weren’t too shaken up. Definitely not fragile, he sounds like he was on drugs or something.

maisieandvicks · 17/06/2022 20:17

Exactly this.

PashunFroot · 17/06/2022 20:18

Kids are ok! Ones a baby who was asleep, the other… oblivious like she is to most things. It was the pretending to ram my car though. So unnecessarily aggressive. He could see I had kids in the car too.

What a prick. I would have taken down the number plate and reported him for verbal assault.

Agree
he is definitely going to beat the crap out of someone later

I wish I could react like you. I'd have been scared.

PashunFroot · 17/06/2022 20:35

No when it comes to fight or flight I think flight is definitely the best bet! Mine is firmly stuck in fight and it has gotten me into some sticky situations over the years. There’s a reason my dad calls me gobshite 🤣

DenholmElliot1 · 17/06/2022 20:40

What happened? Was it that you placed your order and then moved forward but when he moved forward he still couldn't reach the order bit? Is that what happened

He sounds very unwell.

Borgonzola · 17/06/2022 20:44

It's always bloody Mercedes drivers. I've aired my feelings about them before and had offended Merc berks say that it's not true but every time I've ever been tailgated, cut up, honked at for not pulling away from 0-30 in less than a second, driven at aggressively, overtaken needlessly, or any other stupid offence, it is 9 times out of 10 a Mercedes driver
