What is with these fragile men?

Went through a drive thru this evening, ordered at the speaker and then pulled forward as much as I could but as it was rammed I couldn’t pull forward anymore.

omg the tantrum that the tiny dicked Mercedes man had behind me. Screaming “you fucking cunt!” “I’ll smash your head you fucking whore!” Etc while aggressively slamming forwards as if he was going to ram the back of my car. I just laughed at him in my mirror which made him even angrier but Jesus Christ I’ve never seen anything like it! The men in the van next to us were also laughing at him and out of spite I just sat and let the next 3 cars go ahead of me.

What actually is wrong with people. I guarantee if I was a man, or had my hangry husband with me he wouldnt have done any of those things to me.

Because I had my kids with me I felt like I then couldn’t go and park up invade he approached the car. All that over not being able to a bloody burger straight away.

It's always bloody Mercedes drivers. I've aired my feelings about them before and had offended Merc berks say that it's not true but every time I've ever been tailgated, cut up, honked at for not pulling away from 0-30 in less than a second, driven at aggressively, overtaken needlessly, or any other stupid offence, it is 9 times out of 10 a Mercedes driver

You’re spot on and it’s exactly why we didn’t buy a Mercedes! Even though I really wanted one!

You should have pulled away a few yards after, to a safe distance to eat your food, and called the police straight away. This is a man who is unfit to be anywhere near a car. Ideally he should not have been served at all, but that could have put the staff who served you at risk.

PinkSyCo · 17/06/2022 20:49

Fragile? The bloke sounds like an an abusive lunatic more like and, while I’m all for sticking up for myself, I think you were bloody stupid to purposefully antagonise him when you had your kids in the car with you.

PashunFroot · 17/06/2022 20:50

he was so far up my ass I couldn’t see his number plate anyway. His punishment for being so vile was the public humiliation of exuding his small dick energy in front of loads of people. Including the people sat eating outside as the drive thru queue goes past the eating area. He was sat with his head in his hands when I did pull away so I think it had the desired effect.

Yes someone having a tantrum over a burger is the very definition of fragile to me.

SinnermanGirl · 17/06/2022 20:55

To me it sounds like he is crashing from a methamphetamine high. Dangerous.

GettingEnoughMoonshine · 17/06/2022 20:59

Did you call the police?
I would have been concerned for my immediate safety in your shoes, he sounds insane.
Some idiot came speeding to turn on junction yesterday, far too fast, didnt even slow and we were just driving along, I had to so an emergency stop or he would have crashed into us. Then he honked at me and put his middle finger up!! Every time something like this has happened, it has always been a man.

Awrite · 17/06/2022 21:01

It has definitely got worse over the last couple of years. Men blaring their horns willy nilly, gesticulating wildly and screaming abuse at, let's face it, female drivers.

I try to be zen about it.

I usually have my teen dd in the car so laughing at these pricks and ridiculing them is probably the right way to deal with it.

Notanotherwindow · 17/06/2022 21:01

I keep a hammer under my front seat in case of people like this. They're fucking deranged.

PashunFroot · 17/06/2022 21:02

I had a man approach my car when I was pregnant with my baby too. He was driving a Kia though not a Mercedes’.

Some horrible man shouted at me to get my kids down from climbing a tree in the park so that he could take a piss in the bush behind. WTF, he was about an inch from my face. Some people are deranged. And disgusting, he could have just walked to the toilet.

Penguinsaregreat · 17/06/2022 21:10

What an absolute dick.

RenegadeMatron · 17/06/2022 21:14

And then he’s no doubt bitter and twisted at ‘inexplicably’ being single, as well.

🙄 x a million.

Herejustforthisone · 17/06/2022 21:27

So many times I’ve had run-ins with men, like this. They’ve been beside themselves with rage and trying to frighten me that they’ve been almost slathering. It’s quite a spectacle. Frightening though, even though I tried not to show it.

I’m like you, OP, I’d never back down. It’s not always the best thing.

itsmellslikepopcarn · 17/06/2022 21:36

Something similar happened to me a couple weeks ago in a Starbucks drive through. I had stopped behind a crossing and didn’t move forward until the car infront ordering moved, which seems to enrage the fella behind.

Skinnydogz · 17/06/2022 21:43

Absolute bellend, he wouldn't have attacked you and I highly doubt he was coming down from Meth. Just a saddo, bet he doesn't do it outside his car

Discovereads · 17/06/2022 21:49

Just don’t do this in the US, you would likely get shot.

PashunFroot · 17/06/2022 21:50

I hope he enjoyed his burger though after all that stress 🤣

Really? After reading your thread I hope they forgot to put the patty in 😆

PashunFroot · 17/06/2022 21:56

I think the look on their faces when I pulled up to pay confirmed that they could hear him on the speaker. They looked pretty shell shocked!

Same! DM bought an Audi for precisely that reason - didn’t want anyone to mistake her for a Merc driver! Grin

OneTC · 17/06/2022 22:20

A couple of days ago I was sitting in traffic approaching a roundabout, there were about 20-30 cars in the queue. There was a lorry wanting to pull out from a track and join the opposite flow but he was going to need to come onto my side to make the turn. I stopped to allow him space and the bloke sitting behind me went absolutely apeshit, honking, swearing at me, gesticulating. Anyway the lorry finished it's manoeuvre and we moved forward and rejoined the queue of now about 10 cars waiting to use the roundabout.

Let’s both agree BMW drivers are worse than either! Grin
