PM Johnson is not Thatcher or May, he has no allegiance to anyone but himself. I'm delighted that he is fucking the Conservative Party as hard as he's fucking the country.😆

Interesting times ahead.

HannahSternDefoe · 06/06/2022 21:51

He did look quite, erm, happy. Smile

I understand it's what they meant when they all said it's time to draw a line under the vote and Partygate.

Its the will of the people In Moscow who pay for him

Mumsnet is almost down for me tonight - posted in Site Stuff - and so I will follow DirtyteaCup in calling it a day for now.

Perhaps the Torybot gremlins are taking their revenge on Mumsnet...

Haha maybe! I forgot about that car crash of an interview what with all the booing over the weekend.

WaitroseWoman · 07/06/2022 10:11

Morning all. I see the Led By Donkeys Boris video in the OP is still doing well at 3.6 million views.

I did wonder last night, what with the thread suddenly not appearing in Active at all when it should and the site almost doing down and in a DDos way...no word from MNHQ yet on that.

Just glad it’s done with. Fed up of hearing about partygate when there’s more important stuff for the government to focus on.

Parliamentary standards committee reports still to come. And no-one has investigated the Abba party yet.

WaitroseWoman · 07/06/2022 10:33

As I woke up this morning, there was that awful dawning realisation that yes, the vote had taken place and yes, BJ had won it. At least the scale of the no confidence votes hopefully means that this is the beginning of the end for him as PM.

Looking at today's front pages, they are all bad for BJ except the Express and Mail.

Lol at people naive enough to think this is the end of it. It's just the beginning of the end. He had no aces left up his sleeve, just more by-elections and a cost of living crisis.

Lest we forget the boos. I have to say the sound seems to have been 'tinkered with' unfortunately as it is quieter than when I heard it live:

It has been messed with. I recorded it and the boos are considerably louder than in the online version.

I know it's the DM , but the comments today are scathing. I've asked people how they feel about the vote and everyone is fed up with him even those who voted for him.
It's not good.

Wow, if he’s lost Mail readers he’s done.

Tax cuts were apparently dangled to get some votes on side yesterday.

How’s he going to manage that without more austerity? Which he’s promised never to do and would be a vote loser with public services already at an all time low. I’m delighted to say he’s well and truly fucked - and deep down he knows it.

SleeplessInEngland · 07/06/2022 12:17

"Boris Johnson's spokesman says the Prime Minister will transform the NHS into "a blockbuster health care system in the age of Netflix."

Asked repeatedly to explain what this means, Johnson's spokesman is unable to say which features of Netflix he believes the NHS should imitate."

This is why Johnson's fucked. He has nothing.

Lonelycrab · 07/06/2022 12:22

Wow, if he’s lost Mail readers he’s done

The DM comments wrt anything Johnson related have been massively negative for a number of weeks now. It may not mean much apart from the bots have received different orders, but it’s encouraging.

WaitroseWoman · 07/06/2022 12:25

Boris tells the nation: 'SAVE THE NHS by STAYING AT HOME watching Netflix and NOT phoning 999 for an ambulance, NOT going to hospital and NOT trying to get an in person GP appointment.'

Great idea. Let's have people in need of treatment lining up and competing on TV for it. Need a transplant? 3 people here. Who deserves it most? Let the public vote decide who gets the available organ. Etc. Sponsored by BUPA and other insurance companies. Let's SAVE the NHS!!!
