Dad in women's loo .

1000 replies

HappyDays40 · 04/06/2022 14:02

I have been to the loo in Mc Donald's and was mid flow when a dad walks in with his daughters aged about 4 and 6.He stands waiting while his daughters are using the toilet. I came out and said you are not supposed to be in here.
He said he had to take his daughters to the loo and I told him that he needed to either wait outside or take them the mens. He said they don't need to see that and I told him that he shouldn't be hanging round in women's toilets for any reason. His sense of entitlement gave me the rage so I told a member of staff. I can only imagine how triggering that could be for some women. Intrusive fucker.

Again, the chances that a dad with his 4 and 6 yr old daughters by his side and helping them use the toilet is also going assault a another woman or girl is zero. He’s not “lurking” in there. There is no safety risk to other women and girls in this scenario.

That is not the point!
Can you even read and assimilate information properly?
Are you bothering to read the posts here?

I note you haven’t responded to many points made to you because you have no good answer.

I've just asked teed DS how often he's seen other mens penises in the men's toilets. He said never, it's not a thing.

I started sending my boys into the men's at around 7/8. Younger one was probably closer to 6 because he wanted to go with his brother. They had strict instructions to stay together, either in the cubicle together Or by waiting outside the cubicle door for each other.
DS2 got locked in the cubicle once. A lovely man stuck his head out of the door, asked if they were my dc and offered to help them if he could. He managed to explain to DS2 what he needed to do, told them to wash their hands and bought them out to me.

My nieces (6 and 4) get sent into the ladies on their own. (I think they are too too young, especially as the youngest is very unreliable on leaving it clean, toilet roll on the floor etc but that's by the by). If they went in and there was a man in there they would be very confused and probably come straight out again.

I don't know where you live but these are the standard urinals in every western country across the world. That's why they're called urinals. It's a long floor-length drain that flushes every now and then.

I live in the UK, I have lived in Pakistan and the states, I’ve also travelled quite a bit. I’ve only ever seen ones that look like below, with either barriers between, or deep sided.

No they don’t. I was just in a place yesterday and a male cleaner was cleaning cubicles in pairs while we women came in, did our business and left in the other cubicles. I’ve also been in a toilet when they come in. They come in and announce their presence and then start cleaning.

We’re you now, just yesterday too.
How convenient 🙄

And for the record, he shouldn’t be doing this. It’s poor practice and or should be reported as such.

Lovemusic33 · 04/06/2022 16:40

It wouldn’t bother me, we piss in cubicles, we don’t have our bits out like men do in the mens loo’s.

At the swimming pool (that I go too) there are no male and female changing rooms, just individual cubicles, similar to toilet cubicles? A man can be getting dressed in the cubicle right next to me but he can’t see me and I can’t see him. The man in the woman’s toilets couldn’t see you with your knickers down, he just wanted to ensure his very young DD’s didn’t have to see mens penis’s in the mens toilets so took them in the laddies.

Inertia · 04/06/2022 16:40

@ChocolateHippo exactly.

RosieRooster83 · 04/06/2022 16:42

@IstayedForTheFeminism That's really lovely what that man did. Were you tempted to rush in yourself?

Blueyandbingosmum · 04/06/2022 16:42

McDonald's always have a disabled toilet. No excuse to use the women's if there is a free disabled toilet.

It doesn’t look like either of the children had a disability, so no, they shouldn’t use that.

IRunbecauseILikeCake · 04/06/2022 16:43

If he had asked you to keep an eye on his daughters instead of going in, would you have been happier with that? Not being snarky- genuine question.

AmaryIlis · 04/06/2022 16:44

LaBellina · 04/06/2022 14:08

I think a few years ago this wouldn’t have happened so easily but these days more and more men feel entitled to invade women’s spaces. If he didn’t want to take them to the men’s, he could have waited outside the door (as many mums do when their boys are too old or no longer want to go to the ladies).

Would you be happy about sending little boys of 4 and 6 into the Gents on their own?

GrouchyKiwi · 04/06/2022 16:44

When ours were young enough to need a parent with them DH would take them into the Men's. As PP said, you don't actually see anything when blokes are using a urinal. DH knows that men have no place in women's toilets.

bhdsjhbs · 04/06/2022 16:45

You'd rather two very young girls saw mens' penises at the urinals than have them use the ladies loo with a bit of assistance and protection from their parent? So much for protecting women and girls.

AmaryIlis · 04/06/2022 16:44

Little boys of 4 and 6 could legitimately use the females loos as they are sexually immature males, and not what SSS are designed for.

Female toilets, provided we uphold the right for it to be a SSS will be safer for them then mens toilets for sure.

But either way, adult males are the potential predators here - female and young people of both sexes their victims.

jubileetrain · 04/06/2022 14:17

I'm surprised people are ok with this. Women's toilets are for women. There is no place for a man in them. Oh the entitled 'what is he supposed to do with his DDs?' - not remotely any woman's problem.

Personally I use the disabled toilet so it wouldn't affect me, but there are so many women out there who would be upset by this.

Agreed!

Predatory men in women's loos will USE THE EXCUSE THEY'RE WAITING FOR THEIR KIDS.... THEY WILL USE WHATEVER JUSTIFICATION THEY CAN.

hassletassle · 04/06/2022 16:47

I don't think he did anything wrong!

My six year old happily uses the mens alone where it has a lower sink so he can wash his hands.

OP didn't mention a disability, maybe they could've had a hidden disability, but we don't know that.

I presume if they had, then dad would've used the accessible toilet.

hassletassle · 04/06/2022 16:48

He probably stole those children from somebody else just so we could come into the women's toilets and listen to you pee Op.

mathanxiety · 04/06/2022 16:49

I think you're being very unreasonable.

If there's no family loo and your cubicle door was closed then there was no harm done.

Fathers often take their small daughters places on weekends. Do you really think they should bring them into the men's loos? Or that the average father doesn't already share bathroom facilities at home with a woman?

Not all little girls can manage to clean off a pee spattered seat before sitting down, or wipe properly, or use an unfamiliar flushing handle, or be careful not to let their knickers touch the floor while sitting, or wash hands afterwards. Some public loos have commodes that would leave a small child's legs dangling with the child balanced precariously.

Yes, the more I think of things that could go wrong, the more I think you were bang out of order.

Sallypally0 · 04/06/2022 16:50

The mens loos have urinals in full view. Unless the womens cubicals has no doors then I think him going in there is acceptable.

But this man actually had his 4yr old and 6yr old daughters with him…so logically and evidently not an excuse and not a predator.

Inertia · 04/06/2022 16:51

@cornishcrusader so the authorities are insisting that other female children- who may themselves be in the foster care of a different family, possibly for traumatic reasons- have to face a man in the female toilets?

Rosehugger · 04/06/2022 16:51

Do you really think they should bring them into the men's loos?

YES HTH

How is that more of a problem in the men's loos?
