What never ceases to amaze me is somehow these shooters manage to escape the stereotypes that others ethnic groups find it impossible to shake off.

Access and availability of firearms is a huge problem for the USA. Its completely insane, especially in states like Texas. If there were no guns, there be no mass shootings. Just like no crack or heroin on the streets would mean no addicts. No booze, no alcoholics and so on

Off the top of my head I can think of about 3 instances of mass shootings in the UK, one in Australia, 2 or 3 in France and the same for Germany in my lifetime. America has had 198 mass shootings including 27 at schools in 2022 but yeah, gun control doesn't work....

Thats how crazy it is though in the States. In the census, you've got Americans identifying as Irish, Italian, African and so on, who've never even set foot outside America. Dont know why.

Mexicans are descended from Spanish people who colonised the area for hundreds of years. Some of the first colonisers to the whole continent were Spanish and Portuguese. Whatever the politics in the USA, Spanish people are still white historically. Europeans historically are white. Only in the USA are these labels a thing that means race. Many Mexicans, actually living in Mexico, object to being classified by heavily politicised racial labels that came from the USA.
