When I have a shower my head is always facing towards the shower

Now this is whether I am washing my hair or not. When you see a woman on TV or in a film having a shower she is always facing away from the shower. I have just watched something with a man and he was facing the shower. I know this is a first world question but how do you shower?

I face away when washing my hair and then side on or facing it when getting washed.

Water running down my face makes me panic (always has, and I hate it) so I almost always turn away from the water, unless I'm rinsing off my frontage

Surely you have to turn around?
Back facing is OK for hair, back and bum, but face and front genitals, under breasts etc need to be done facing the spray surely? I also turn side on when soaping and rinsing my armpits- arms above my head.
I also like to be warm in the shower, I can warm the whole of my body if I keep on the move.

Face away and I always feel like the little shelf to put your shampoos on is in the wrong place.

At home our shower is over the bath and I put my shampoos on the shelf at the other end of the bath.

Every time I stay in a hotel, the shelf is right next to/under the shower and I can't put them there because its behind me, I end up putting them on the floor at the other side of the shower cubicle

A bit of both but I never put my face under the water, it's way too scary.
