To update about The Family Sex Show

There are active two threads on this in Feminism but I feel I just have to update here for traffic. Although protests appear to have, for now, stopped the theatre production going ahead, new and highly disturbing material has today appeared on their webpage, clearly aimed at children. It (cheerily and breezily) suggests, among other things, that children search for images of masturbating animals on the internet and then draw what they see. I am not going to Google that term, I really don't want that in my history, but first, can you imagine what children will be exposed to if they search that, and second, this is pure and simple grooming of children into being abused. Masturbating animals? What larks! Lets have an arts and crafts session about it! Next steps: Masturbating with Uncle Jim? Why not? Masturbating Uncle Jim? Of course!

I have now made a complaint to CEOP. Others may wish to as well.

Ah, from their site:

“not all women have vulvas, and not all vulvas belong to women”.

REALLY?!

senua · 19/04/2022 18:09

Is somebody archiving all this so ThisEgg etc can't deny or accuse of misrepresentation?

theDudesmummy · 19/04/2022 18:09

My complaint was made about the webpage though, not the show, although of course I mentioned it. (CEOPS is mainly aimed at online abuse)

I saw this on Glinners email.

You would not believe it unless you have seen it.

So not only paedophilia, but bestiality is also now being promoted by them too.

Thank you OP for reporting.

Rhannion · 19/04/2022 18:13

Worth remembering that the NSPCC have had their own issues with the man who was an employee wanking in the toilets at one of their offices and posting it.

Exactly

The show hasn't been cancelled everywhere?

theDudesmummy · 19/04/2022 18:15

Yes the NSPCC has not covered itself in glory, and as I said, having advice which expects the child to decide what is abuse based on how "uncomfortable" they "feel" is entirely wrong and plays into the hands of the abuser.

For anyone who is not familiar with the incident.

Bloodybridget · 19/04/2022 18:16

Bloody hell. It's absolutely sickening and almost unbelievable that this can happen - at the same time as the documentary about Jimmy Savile is rightly attracting shock and hindsight wisdom!

viques · 19/04/2022 18:16

“An invited audience” probably means bring your own grubby Macintosh, sweeties and lost puppy dogs…..

Grim, very grim. I do think that sex education, particularly for post pubertal children needs a shake up, with much more emphasis on body positivity, calling out inappropriate behaviour and respecting boundaries, but this is not the way to do it.

MarshmallowSwede · 19/04/2022 18:18

@theDudesmummy

Wtf! How is this not being stopped and pol is arresting these ppl?!

If a child googles masturbating animals, they will get porn. What videos of masturbating animals are there even? This is a sly way to get kids to find porn online.

This a pedophile show!

theDudesmummy · 19/04/2022 18:18

Family Sex Show still has hyperlinks to the NSPCC on their page, which dishonestly implies some sort of link with or at least tacit approval of the NSPCC (which is not true, the NSPCC told me that themselves).

OP posts:
theDudesmummy · 19/04/2022 18:19

@MarshmallowSwede it is indeed a show, and a website, for the benefit of child sex abusers.

PonyPatter44 · 19/04/2022 18:21

I reported to CEOP as well, just said it was a child aged 7, and all details were 'not known'. I actually feel quite dirty having seen that. These nonces need shutting down.

theDudesmummy · 19/04/2022 18:22

I have not had a reply from CEOP (part of the police) yet, not even an acknowledgement email. I will update if I do. I am thinking also of finding out where this organisation is registered/based and making a complaint to the local force.

I just cannot believe the bit where they suggest using the Internet to search for animals which masturbate?

How the fuck did they think they would get away with that?

oakleaffy · 19/04/2022 18:23

That NSPCC man filming himself wanking at work dressed in rubber?
Completely the wrong type of person who ought to be working there.

Fox in henhouse .

2manycats · 19/04/2022 18:23

@Rococococo

OMG this image from the bbc article alone is quite alarming if the show is aimed at very young children.
Fucking hell. If I saw a child simulating that around school I'd have to refer the incident to our safeguarding officer!
Dinosauria · 19/04/2022 18:24

How have we come to this. I remember early 2000 being shocked by what was allowed to be produced in the 70's and 80's. Now we have people supporting this, publicly on twitter

VivaLaRaza · 19/04/2022 18:27

This is sickening. Are there any celebs we can tag on Twitter or Instagram perhaps? I usually find once a celeb is on the case, word spreads a lot quicker. It’s alarming how many people still have no clue that this is going on. I just posted this in all my dc’s school group, my work group and family group and no one had a clue about this. Everyone was universally disgusted though

Phobiaphobic · 19/04/2022 18:27

@Helleofabore

I am sure that we had some posters who said they were going to take their children to this show on other threads? I am genuinely interested in them answering my question.

Who exactly benefits from lowering children's boundaries in this way?

Asking questions like:

look up masturbating animals
where do you like to be touched
would you like to make a playdoh vulva.....

Is this genuinely not ringing any alarm bells? At all?

It's ringing so many alarm bells in my head I'm actually struggling to believe it's real and not some belated April fool's joke.
OmIndeed · 19/04/2022 18:30

Find examples, not images. They mean info via wiki or somewhere. Nonetheless, this latest example does highlight why this group deserves criticism, the info and 'instruction' is hopelessly vague and ill thought out; full of their own personal opinion and one cannot tailor sexual content for a five year old or 'whatever' age, as they put it. Just useless. They clearly do not understand how to teach this stuff, they are not qualified. I don't think they are MAP types, just woke, bit arrogant and out of their depth.

Oh, and don't worry OP they won't be able to just stumble across bestiality videos, but that doesn't mean it isn't stupid, I agree with you. I tried it and alongside pop science articles were Peta abuse news stories.

KittenKong · 19/04/2022 18:30

I see the BBC website is doing their usual bang up job on ‘reporting’ this story…

OmIndeed · 19/04/2022 18:31
