To synergise my strengths and become a thought leader

Just thought I’d run this up the AIBU flagpole and see who salutes.

I’m coming into this thread with an open kimono, so if any one else would like to share the inner workings of their mind palace in order to grow together that would be great. We can always circle back to the original point.

Feel free to ping me off thread if theirs insufficient bandwidth to complete your thoughts here. No need to boil the ocean right now.

Basically, a recruiter has reached out asking me to be a thought leader. I’ve been actively eating my own dog food on a parallel path, but it might be time to spread the butter wider. Thoughts?

Well this is refreshing. Is there a course I can go on to be a thought leader as I've had enough of my job in the NHS and would rather do something much more worthwhile. Hmm

The person I know who describes themselves as a ‘thought leader’ on LinkedIn changes jobs every 12-18 months without fail. He basically spends a year bullshitting, networking and coming up with entirely unworkable ideas. When this becomes apparent to colleagues he moves on and does the same somewhere else. Nice work if you can get it I suppose.

This is some big picture thinking with a lot of moving parts

I’m going to ruminate on this in a closed periphery and drop back in to take this to the next level. Need to make sure we aren’t working in silos

Maybe just look from the other end of the telescope or the other side of the same coin, course correct the ship and nudge it over the line for close of play.
