Just thought I’d run this up the AIBU flagpole and see who salutes.

I’m coming into this thread with an open kimono, so if any one else would like to share the inner workings of their mind palace in order to grow together that would be great. We can always circle back to the original point.

Feel free to ping me off thread if theirs insufficient bandwidth to complete your thoughts here. No need to boil the ocean right now.

Basically, a recruiter has reached out asking me to be a thought leader. I’ve been actively eating my own dog food on a parallel path, but it might be time to spread the butter wider. Thoughts?

This is very much in my wheelhouse, I will touch base with you by close of play tomorrow. Are you a change architect and can you conceptualize? To kick things off I suggest we strategise how best to accelerate the paradigm shift and manage the change. Reach out if anything I've communicated needs further contextualising. We can explore the granularity later.

Have you discussed it with the scrum master OP? From my idea shower my learning was that you should ping him you deck.

I must also put on the flag pole that I will be raising your open kimono to our people team. Our casual Friday policy may be in conflict with our equalities and families requirement.

Interesting. I’ve got a colleague who is a self appointed ‘thought leader’. She’s always having new ones and leading us on them. Ironic really as our thoughts lead us all to think she’s a twat.

Today, in meetings, I heard: 'can we take that discussion offline' and 'can we socialise that idea?'

I'm very concerned that we haven't done a deep dive and then surfaced to horizon scan this, maybe the idea has been in the thought fridge too long as no one has snacked on it yet...

But what’s our medium term plan with all this - do we want to be the central node in the nexus? Shall I create a Miro board so we can all conceptualise this visually?

I might be stepping out my swim lane here, but wouldn’t it be more strategically useful to be a life coach rather than a thought leader? Grateful for thoughts by COP. Or perhaps this is something for us to mull over in the thought fridge?

If we can pivot to peel the onion I think we'll avoid some crucial pain points coming up. I need to touch base with the movers and thinkers but I've got capacity as long as we all synergise on this. This idea has legs but we need to play hardball asap before the chickens get loose.

Can you action that by EOP? (voms)

@SwanBuster can I check if we've got anyone capturing these actions? We'll need to cascade to key stakeholders and the exec for thoughts/pushback.

Have we captured ROI, we'll need to build a compelling business case? Is that your action?

This was a really powerful mind map we’ve come together on, and there’s a lot of seeds to sew so we can reap the harvest going forward. I’d like us to stem the lava flow from the thought volcano now, and perhaps put the idea to bed for the foreseeable. Thanks all. This was useful.
