To synergise my strengths and become a thought leader

Just thought I’d run this up the AIBU flagpole and see who salutes.

I’m coming into this thread with an open kimono, so if any one else would like to share the inner workings of their mind palace in order to grow together that would be great. We can always circle back to the original point.

Feel free to ping me off thread if theirs insufficient bandwidth to complete your thoughts here. No need to boil the ocean right now.

Basically, a recruiter has reached out asking me to be a thought leader. I’ve been actively eating my own dog food on a parallel path, but it might be time to spread the butter wider. Thoughts?

I'm just not sure that your options analysis lines up with our vision strategy, OP. We need to fully bottom this out before socialising it any further.

Lochnessgiraffe
Actually hurt myself laughing at that!

ReeseWitherfork · 01/04/2022 17:37

My boss once requested we “ringfence the llama”. Still trying to work that one out.

Lochnessgiraffe · 01/04/2022 18:17

Maybe the llama can use my hockey stick?

Makes about as much sense as some of the shit I hear!

ZoBo123 · 01/04/2022 18:35

Have we held the mirror up to this thread? We need to see from a different lens and get upstream

OooPourUsACupLove · 01/04/2022 21:08

Well there's been some great contributions from the group. I'm loving the energy in the room here. I think we've all got a bit of the elephant. If I can propose next steps, I think we need an ideation workshop to strategise vision and ensure we are aligned.

The key points for me are, will it scale, at pace?

mathanxiety · 02/04/2022 23:25

Ideation is all well and good, but we need to get on all fours, drill down, and unpack 110% this time b/c this journey is all about disruption.

dementedma · 03/04/2022 15:16

I'm concerned we're not following the roadmap nor using the handrail. This is very reckless. I suggest we unpack the toolbox and work out the major muscle movements before we send out the advance party.

Ratonastick · 03/04/2022 15:20

We need to consider this from soup to nuts. Perhaps set up some swim lanes to parallel assess before we pull together the deliverable?

Inarightpickleandpreserve · 03/04/2022 23:39

Hi team!! Just reading back the thread of inspired and innovative ideas on how to push this thing off the jetty into the ocean!

Wondered if there was any feedback on possible weekend retreat to cleanse the palette and ensure a clear take off on the following Monday?

PS personalised kimonos will be provided to all retreat attendees

Apologies, a malfunction in priorities meant I wasn’t able to orient my compass towards this threads true north for a period. I’ve dusted the dandruff and sheened the surfaces ready for the next phase of our efforts.

Vis-a-vis the idea waterfall that’s flowed downstream in my absence - pleased to see we are syncing up and moving forward on everything.

I feel we are moving closer to getting things al dente, so let’s not overboil the penne by letting the action pan sit on the hob for too long.

Really useful session 👍

But please, don’t try and separate the aquafresh. We need to be holistic here. Let’s try and come up with some Epics tomorrow so we can get the idea baby sucking on the milky teat of inspiration. I’m thinking NFTs and getting this blockchained ASAP.

Best thread ever 😂

ClaudineClare · 04/04/2022 07:43

I think my corporate speak has passed its best before date, but I might be OK if I sketch out a new road map and and set up a risk register for the milestones.

(So glad I no longer have to endure this bollocks!)

ClaudineClare · 04/04/2022 07:44

Overboiling the penne is hilarious.

XelaM · 04/04/2022 10:42

Some excellent points made here, but let's not make it into a willy waving contest.

[something my ex-boss used to say several times a day 🤢]

boys3 · 05/04/2022 15:44

Whilst making the complex simple could hob use leave us in an ecological vacuum? Could our strategic compass identify a potential emergent pathway allowing us to make space in a more alfresco landscape. We seem to have plenty of fuel for a fire from which we may be able to pull some hot button issues from the embers whilst still pump-priming our penne.
