I tend towards slatternity so I didn't realise this was A Thing Shock

Luckily it's only high days and holidays nowadays, so it's not as though Id be ploughing through the Bold on Bed sheets. Wink

It's this another MN requirement where I come up wanting?

YABU: wash em straight away you grim creature.

YANBU: Meh, wash Em on the normal processing time, no need to rush.

I just do it standing directly over a drain. Hosepipe right next to us. Job done

mizzo · 23/02/2022 12:15

@Baileys123

4th baby not that it makes a difference I'm in the minority for basic hygiene and cleanlines then GrinShock
Do you really change the sheet every time? Doesn't it drive you mad if you want sex more than once a night? I've only got three sheets Grin
LuckySantangelo35 · 23/02/2022 12:21

@Baileys123
What would do you think would happen if your child was to lie in “it”?

Regularsizedrudy · 23/02/2022 12:22

@zoeFromCity

We have a special leak proof blanket, which we throw on top of whatever bedding we have. It has cool and warm sides and feels special. I definitely don't want to sleep in wet or having to change sheets immediately after. Sometimes we let it dry and air, or run a short program in washing machine.
Nothing quite says romance like “leek proof blanket” 😐

Again attacking me for how I do thingsHmm
Away there and change you're sheets some of you 🤢🤮🤓

Trytryandtryagain11 · 23/02/2022 12:24

YANBU (I don't think!) I did not realise this was a 'thing'!

hamsterchump · 23/02/2022 12:25

No because condoms. I love condoms, brilliant things.

DukeofEarlGrey · 23/02/2022 12:25

Have never done this, no. I worry it would cause a Pavlovian association between sex and housework!

This also reminds me that when I was at uni and madly infatuated with my flame at the time, I would actively leave the sheets unchanged and sniff them after he'd left. Young love Grin

Staryflight445 · 23/02/2022 12:27

Basic hygiene is keeping your body clean, your bed doesn’t need to be as clean as your kitchen sink. The amount you sweat every night normally is grim, really not necessary to be changing sheets after sex.

Basic hygiene would be not spraying your baby custard all over the sheets or if you know you get a bit wet to use something underneath you.

cherrytopcake · 23/02/2022 12:29

Oh wow this thread was bonkers to start and is still going strong. None of you are having much sex if you're busy posting on MN Grin

cherrytopcake · 23/02/2022 12:29

She says... posting on MN

Seasidemumma77 · 23/02/2022 12:29

Intrigued. Those that change the sheets after sex, what do you do about sofa, stairs, etc?

Staryflight445 · 23/02/2022 12:29

I can’t remember the last time I had sex in my bed.

So no, I don’t change the sheets after sex. 😅🙃

How often you have sex at lunch time on a Wednesday?
PollyGray · 23/02/2022 12:31

@jamandmarmaladeoncrumpets

No, i just snap the sheet in half and throw it in the bin
That, and the idea that folk have special sex blankets, just made me properly laugh Grin.

@Baileys123 I don’t think people are attacking you, just genuinely curious as to what your thought processes are on this. Which you are not sharing and instead just accusing others of lacking basic hygiene. Which could be argued as being rather attacking yourself.

^ they replace their sofa and carpets obviously 😅.

MrsReeves · 23/02/2022 12:37

@SpecialSexBlanket

I feel like I'm doing sex wrong
Grin great name change
Twillseeker · 23/02/2022 12:39

**Er, yes it is! A couple that hasn’t had sex for (at least?) 3 months isn’t normal

There’s no need for this comment, I suffered a miscarriage and had Covid so far this year, sex hasn’t exactly been on my mind. There’s so many reasons people won’t have had sex in 7 weeks.

GabriellaMontez · 23/02/2022 12:40

Nope. Its all organic . Grin

DomesticatedZombie · 23/02/2022 12:41

baby custard

Good god.

Baileys123 · 23/02/2022 12:42

Some of the questions I'm asked are pathetic Hmm
From the top of my head the one about my youngest being 6 months and being asked what age has to do with it....I'm sure you all know babies this age can wake in the night and need resettling so therefore a lovely cuddle in my bed before back into cot....but im sure someone will be along here shortly to attack me yet again Hmm

Baileys123 · 23/02/2022 12:43

I've had some disgusting comments made about my children removed so presume not everyone here saw them....

Blossomtoes · 23/02/2022 12:44

Yes. Too much.
