Curling team jumping for joy photo

Magnificent performance from the women’s curling team but AIBU to have been irked by the photo of the team “jumping for joy” in the way we see (usually - or possibly only - girls) photographed fake celebrating their GCSE or A-level results? I found it patronising and was cross enough to email the BBC about it (& I’m not in the habit of doing that sort of thing) but I now see one of the team used the photo themselves on twitter. So WIBU?

Seriously?

WheelieBinPrincess · 20/02/2022 19:04

Ooh bet you wish they still made Points of View don’t you.

UsernameIsNotAvailableRightNow · 20/02/2022 19:04

A photo of people celebrating made you cross? Confused

Violetmo0n · 20/02/2022 19:05

🤣 I'm sorry what?

CovidCorvid · 20/02/2022 19:05

Wtaf? 😂

NetballHoop · 20/02/2022 19:05

I think you may be just a bit U.

If you can't jump for joy after winning a gold medal at the Olympics, when can you?

KrisAkabusi · 20/02/2022 19:06

You seriously emailed to complain to the BBC because of a photograph of a team celebrating? You're an absolute batshit mentalist!

Costacoffeeisbetterthansex · 20/02/2022 19:06

That is all you have to worry about?Shock

NotYourOscarSpeech · 20/02/2022 19:06

Oh I wish I worked in the BBC complaints department, I bet rarely a day passes when they don’t get a good belly laugh at some of the nonsense submitted.

Alonelonelylonersbadidea · 20/02/2022 19:07

It would be abysmal if they were told to jump for Joy, you know, like girls.

I would jump for joy and I'm not sure if it's because I have a vagina. Maybe? Should I therefore not just do that I don't irritate someone else with a vagina?

Pumpfive · 20/02/2022 19:07

I actually can't believe you emailed in!!! They are literally jumping, with happiness! It resembles nothing of 'GCSE' photos. Gah.

OverByYer · 20/02/2022 19:07

Err maybe they were actually jumping for joy? I would be if I had just won a gold medal at the olympics.

JustLyra · 20/02/2022 19:07

Why would you complain about that?

The girls were celebrating. It's not like they were being told what to do.

Idontgiveagriffindamn · 20/02/2022 19:08

They’ve just won the biggest prize in their sport, a massive achievement and are celebrating in a way they want to and you’ve emailed the BBC to complain about it???? Wtaf!
Actually maybe they should have just shook hands with each other and got on with love as it’s just a gold medal! Ffs

SamMil · 20/02/2022 19:08

Yes, you were unreasonable... Confused

Donut22 · 20/02/2022 19:09

What a thing to be me mad about 🤣🤣think you have to much spare time on your ideas if this affects you so much! Poor women just enjoying thier win!!

SnowyPetals · 20/02/2022 19:10

Oh bore off and celebrate their success. Well done GB ladies!

BrutusMcDogface · 20/02/2022 19:10

This can’t be real. Maybe they should have slapped eachother on the backs all macho like.

DuaLeaper · 20/02/2022 19:11

You're right - they should all have 'curled' themselves into a human version of the Olympic Rings. Photographers have no imagination these days.

ParkheadParadise · 20/02/2022 19:11

My thoughts exactly. I seem to remember pictures of Tom Daley and his teammates, coaches etc jumping for joy, into a pool, when he won his bronze (I think) medal.
