Cruelty and mockery in one post. Well done

Do you think its not cruel and mocking to say the rules i and many others obeyed to try and avoid passing on CV were nonsensical?

Should we have gone and seen our Nan and fuck the rules...

You are dong a BJ and pickin and choosing which ones you want obeyed i.e no sheep worrying but ok to give Cv to a pensioner.

Don't be daft. I obeyed all the rules just like all the rest of my immediate family. What makes you think I didn't? None of us have had CV or given it to any pensioners.

Footballer who kicked a cat across the room has been fined £250k and his cats have been removed.

Notonthestairs · 09/02/2022 16:56

Discussions around the laws themselves are pretty irrelevant at the moment. We have the Covid inquiry next year (?) and no doubt there will a great deal of hindsight and lessons to be learned (sarcasm alert).

The immediate issue is the morality free thuggish culture spewing out from Downing Street. I know I brought it up earlier (Tories storing up smears for the next election) but the idea that politics will get dirtier fills me with dread.

I wasn't referring to what you did or didn't do ..but you re ok for BJ not to obey the rules? very weird from someone who apparently wants him gone.

I'm not OK with Dominic Cummings running the country by proxy
Blossomtoes · 09/02/2022 17:06

The posting style is remarkably similar.

That thought had occurred to me too.

Nor would I be. But that’s what lots of people voted for in 2019 and they don’t like it now he’s changed sides.

All BJ has to do is own up, full admission... & confession, accept his punishment - DC would then be neutered.

Up to BJ to do the honourable thing, its not the fault of an unelected ex advisor.

He's not changed sides. He always despised Johnson
DuncinToffee · 09/02/2022 17:16

Johnson should just have followed the rules and none of this would have happened. If it wasn't Cummings it would have been someone else.
Paterson and Savile were of Johnson's own making.

borntobequiet · 09/02/2022 17:16

TBF there’s some hand sanitiser on the table by the bottle. They could have drunk it when the bubbly ran out.

And a lot of people were cheering his victory in 2016.

Breaking: Scotland Yard is reviewing its assessment that the Christmas quiz in No 10 on December 15 2020 did not meet the threshold for criminal investigation after an image surfaced of Boris Johnson near a bottle of wine
The Metropolitan Police said in a statement: “The MPS previously assessed this event and determined that on the basis of the evidence available at that time, it did not meet the threshold for criminal investigation.

"That assessment is now being reviewed.”

DuncinToffee · 09/02/2022 17:27

This is what the Prime Minister had to say about this event at today’s PMQs.

ClaudineClare · 09/02/2022 17:38

This is what Johnson said less than two weeks before that photo was taken

"Today in England we have ended national restrictions, opening up significant parts of the economy in doing so;

but also replacing them with tough tiers to keep this virus down.

And I know that those tiers will mean continued hardship for many, and it is going to continue to be tough for some sectors

but until the vaccine is deployed, our plan does rely on all of us continuing to make sacrifices to protect those we love

So please, please continue to follow the rules where you live,

remember hands, face, space –

and if you live in a tier 3 area where community testing will be made available, please take part in that community testing.

Together, these steps are for now the surest way to protect yourselves and those you love

and by reducing the transmission of the virus, help de-escalate your area to a lower level of restrictions,

as vaccines and testing, as I say, take an ever larger share of the burden.

And as we do all this,

we are no longer resting on the mere hope that we can return to normal next year in the spring,

but rather on the sure and certain knowledge that we will succeed:

and together reclaim our lives and all the things about our lives that we love"

Its ok. I have been assured that it was not against the law to dress in tinsel, drink bubbly and have quizzes in 10 Clowning Street at that time.

No, it was an expert.

And you know what we think of experts, and if you don't ask Gove.

OP posts:
AuldAlliance · 09/02/2022 18:02

Dominic Cummings was kicked out by David Cameron after working for Gove, when it became apparent just what he was like ("a career psychopath" I think DC called DC, if you follow me...).

Cummings has hated Etonians with a vengeance ever since.
BJ was a fool to work with him.
But BJ is a fool who blundered into politics thinking it was a Shakespeare play he hadn't actually read and is slowly but surely paying the price for it. Not that he's noticed, maybe...

ENoeuf · 09/02/2022 18:39

Handy the met have stepped in to investigate as no one can say anything about it now (according to all Bozo’s mates you can’t talk about anything being investigated). So that gets them through recess.

10 Clowning Street Grin it's actually so unfunnily true - it's funny!
