Things are getting desperate Peregrina. You never know. No 10 is reaching the point where reality fractures. It'll be Dr Who next.

Just re London. First, there are still Conservative voters and constituencies in London (even more so when Boris stood for mayor some years back now). But second, it was very similar to why he won the General Election against Jeremy Corbyn. The alternative was dreadful - Ken Livingstone was always very unpopular with many, and increasingly even former voters of his were turning away.

According to the Shipman long article Cummings still has a number of allies dotted about in Government and is being fed info.

Probably doesn't even need allies of Cummings as much as foes of Johnson.
