So normally I’m a bit heartless and not one to cry at programmes at all, but I was flicking through Disney+ today and ended up watching The Rescue. Amazing programme and of course here I am bloody bawling about it at the end.

What did you last watch that made you cry?

A very brief YouTube clip this morning that my students will be looking at this week as part of a wider project.
Nicholas Winston on That's Life.
I've seen the clip hundreds of times and cry like a baby each time.
Humans can sometimes be pretty amazing.

Autocorrect error!

I watched a thing on the bbc about portraits Prince Charles commissioned of about 5 holocaust survivors. I cried seeing their reactions to their portraits. Amazing people who held on to no hate considering what they had been through.

The Alpinist. Watched it last night.Hmm

NeverForgetYourDreams · 30/01/2022 16:49

Watching a clip of the sarah everard vigil. Makes me cry every time I think of her and the point she realised he wasn't helping her but kidnapping her. The moment of sheer panic she would have had .....

I was trying not to cry so my kids didn't laugh at me but it made my chest ache.

GrandTheftWalrus · 30/01/2022 16:54

It's a sin made me ugly cry.

LaurieFairyCake · 30/01/2022 16:54

We just watched Mass (a film with just 2 couples in a room - I won't spoil the plot)

We both cried

Jtb5790 · 30/01/2022 16:55

Takes a lot to make me cry. End of Four Lives did it for me!

millymolls · 30/01/2022 16:55

I watched the alpinist too. What an amazing climber. It was so sad

I pretty much cry at everything especially if children or animals related !

TopTabby · 30/01/2022 16:59

The Hillsborough drama Anne. The first episode especially was so sad & very very realistic.
Marine Peake's acting is fantastic but the fact that this is just one of 96 tragic true stories was very sad.
So glad this drama was made as it shouldn't be forgotten.

VickyEadieofThigh · 30/01/2022 17:01

The film Shadowlands, about C S Lewis's relationship with his wife.

Hoolihan · 30/01/2022 17:02

Watched something last night on Sky Arts about the impact of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans. Horrifying and so tragic.

Meandthesky · 30/01/2022 17:02

Watched season 17 of Greys Anatomy and season 4 of the spin off Station 19 and cried repeatedly at both, when I’m not normally a crier at tv or films. They’re the seasons that cover the first part of the covid pandemic and Black Lives Matter and are difficult watching but well done

iklboo · 30/01/2022 17:03

Ghostbusters Afterlife.

Baileyscheesecake · 30/01/2022 17:03

Another vote for the end of the last episode of After Life. As a widow I can so relate to this and it’s so well written and says things about grieving that I don’t think have been put in a tv series before - comedy or drama.

MrsBungle · 30/01/2022 17:03

Anne. The programme about hilsborough and the families.

DeedIDo · 30/01/2022 17:04

Friday's episode of Death in Paradise, at the end. It was the combination of events and music that did it.
