How annoying is peppa pig?

My 5yo dd still watches this shite and I can't believe how bad/annoying it is.

All the male characters are beyond useless so it's always "mummies to the rescue" the one she's just watched has the men setting fire to a bbq and the women coming to fix it.

They fat shame daddy pig and peppa is a cheeky little shit.

And where is daddy pigs parents or is this a hush hush thing that granpa and granny pig are his parents as well?

I don't think she's watched Bing. She has found an episode of Blippi on Netflix. Thankfully just the one.

Haha bing is absolutely bloody awful! Didn't mind peppa much, I like that they actually talk and have conversations in it unlike some. Holly and Ben is better though.

I know 3 sets of parents who don't let their children watch it, for the reasons you mention, and the fact that Peppa gets whatever she wants by whining till they give in. My kids were never into it, thank goodness.

I loved Peppa! Peppa herself is a bit annoying but some of the other characters are great. Grampy Rabbit was always my fave. Ben and Holly is good as well

A for Adley on YouTube is a billion percent worse than peppa I must admit. I don't allow dd to watch it anymore. She's allowed a short time on Netflix only now lol.

Peppa and Bing are massive twats and make me want to pull my own ears off. Ben and Holly and Bluey in this house if we must although dd is rapidly outgrowing them thankfully.

I’m taking 2 of my GD who are just 3 and 2.5 years to see Pippa Pig live show in Manchester next month...it will be a long day 🙄

I don’t mind any of the kids shows DD watches, even enjoy some of them (Bluey). But Peppa is beyond shite. I just don’t see what’s good about it.

Mine are in their early 20s now, but I still have vivid memories of wanting to smash the TV every time that annoying little pig put in an appearance. I eagerly await the grandchildren.

YANBU but if you don't want her to watch it then just don't put it on. Bluey is way nicer and mine just discovered Encanto and is obsessed with it. You're the boss. You're allowed to say no x

I don’t like Peppa, but love Bing.

We tend to stick with CBeebies rather than delving into the variety of YouTube etc. I’m not keen on Hey Duggee though, too hyper and flashy.

The fat shaming daddy pig actually makes me sad for him even though he's a bloody cartoon! And Mr and Mrs rabbit have some real spending and lifestyle issues if they need so many jobs. Was having this conversation with a friend the other day about how cheeky peppa is allowed to be (and how much bing needs to just stop).

It's one of the very few kids shows that I can stand. And the line about Peppa being rude is tired; she is perfectly representative of many children that I've worked with. The show works because I recognise many of the characters' traits in real life people, it's funny
