If/when he goes. I know many would would prefer someone other than a Tory to do so but let’s be realistic. Out of the front runners in the cabinet, who would you want to replace him ant why?

Chris Witty- I wonder if he fancies a complete career change?

Tom Tugendhat may be a dark horse and certainly one for the future.

If Boris resigns ( and it is a big If) it doesn't matter who we want in his place. Sorry Jackie Weaver, Martin Lewis or the Man in the Moon, but the correct procedure WILL be followed. The deputy prime minister ( Dominic Raab) WILL take over until Tory MPs appoint someone from amongst themselves who we will be stuck with until the next General Election. And the last thing we need at the moment is a General Election with weeks of campaigning, revelations and backbiting while we all go to hell in a handcart.

They are all cunts in their own way.

When Jeremy Hunt is the best of a bad bunch we are in trouble. When John fucking Major is the voice of reason we know we are in trouble. So depressing.

An inanimate carbon rod
In other words, Liz Truss.

I’m going for a crisis government of:

Jackie Weaver - PM
Paul O’Grady - animal welfare
Ian Hislop - standards in public office
Martin Lewis - all things money
Jack Monroe - Poverty Tsar
Billy Connolly - Scotland
Prof Brian Cox - Science
Micky Flanagan - spy detector - any spies uncovered in parliament would be met with “oi! oi! Caught a geezer peeping!” He could also be good at Russian / Ukraine negotiations “oh leave it out!”
Karl Pilkington - Bullshit Man, doing us all a service of flying in to point out bullshit
I’m sure there are more. But Jackie Weaver for PM would be a great start.

Would be fantastic!

Another vote for Larry.

I never thought the day would come, having spent a lot of my working life in the NHS, when I thought Jeremy Hunt would be our best option, but of all those godforsaken miscreants, he is about the best.

(Mind you, I never thought the day would come when I actually thought Thatcher had a point in some cases, Major may have been grey but, Edwina aside, he was relatively stable and sober, and Heseltine talked sense, mainly. What hellish dystopia IS this?!)

@Curiousmouse

Not Sunak or Truss. She is without presence or personality and he is on the extreme right, and a billionaire. He would squeeze the budgets of normal people far more.
Extreme right? He just wasted billions of taxpayer cash and is about to increase taxes. More a closet socialist.

@AlexaShutUp

None of them. They're all utterly spineless or they would have got rid of Boris by now. Or at least spoken out against him.

I think Nadhim Zahawi comes across as more competent than most of them but I don't know enough yet about his politics. (Though he is a Tory and has served in Johnson's cabinet, so neither of those things are positives Hmm)

Tugendhat is in all the papers ( Guardian included). Very critical of the government and loathes Boris. Got to be an optionSmile
