I wonder if he really thinks that the electorate cannot see that he is desperately twisting and turning to avoid answering the questions they want answered?

itsgettingweird · 26/01/2022 12:33

All the staunch conversation voters I know have said they'd continue to vote conservative. But would abstain forming voting if Boris was put forward.

But even Tory's biggest fans (we've always been a stronghold here) don't think he can and will last beyond May.

DuncinToffee · 26/01/2022 12:34

@Roussette

How fucking rude is he.

Respond'ing to Ian Blackford with a fat joke is beyond belief.

He may as well have said "you're fat. Shut up"

Whilst Labour Mp Lloyd Russell Moyle gets castigated by the Speaker and is asked to withdraw his remark for saying

I'd rather be led by a lawyer than a liar

DePfeffoff · 26/01/2022 12:35

@the80sweregreat

Just the people i know then! .. people will still vote Conservative with a new leader though , just my prediction. Plus, Rees mogg has told the newer ones that it would trigger a GE and they don't want this either I guess Between a rock and a hard place
Rees Mogg knows perfectly well that anyone choosing to call a General Election needs a majority vote to allow it. And it's far from certain that Conservative MPs really want to vote to lose their jobs.
Roussette · 26/01/2022 12:35

This Cornish MP has a brain like a pasty

That made me laugh, he was a bit of a pasty yes!

Blossomtoes · 26/01/2022 12:36

Whilst Labour Mp Lloyd Russell Moyle gets castigated by the Speaker and is asked to withdraw his remark for saying I'd rather be led by a lawyer than a liar

It’s that parliamentary convention nonsense. They can call each other anything they like except a liar. Such bollocks.

22itsallnew · 26/01/2022 12:37

Jesus wept, if your boss behaved like this would you speak up in his defence?

Interesting backbenchers mentioning they've been promised meetings on areas they are interested in 'just last night' how many promises have Johnson's team been frenziedly making to try & keep people in the fold - and do they expect this known liar to keep them!

Cornettoninja · 26/01/2022 12:38

I find the lack of MP’s starting to put their hat in the ring and lay foundation to take over the leadership of the tories fascinating.

Is it that the country is in such a mess no one is prepared to sacrifice their career on what is an impossible job - much like the deafening silence after Cameron’s exit, or has the UK gravy train finally dried up and there’s no private backers prepared to invest because there’s nothing left in it for them?

CorrBlimeyGG · 26/01/2022 12:40

He's just a fucking liar isn't he.

TheHoptimist · 26/01/2022 12:41

I just walked past DS- he was due out to go to the house.
Chaos- not a single person looking at the horses but the road and pavement flooded with press and protestors.

Should get fun later.

DuncinToffee · 26/01/2022 12:41

His answer to Starmer's question if he could confirm he will publish the full report as he receives it doesn't bode well

PM: when I receive it of course I will do exactly as I said

Blossomtoes · 26/01/2022 12:41

What?!
the80sweregreat · 26/01/2022 12:42

Who is DS ?
..

Roussette · 26/01/2022 12:43

I heard that Duncin

He said he would. He has to.

But of course it's Johnson so who knows as he lies all the time.

merrymouse · 26/01/2022 12:43

Downing Street?

DuncinToffee · 26/01/2022 12:44

DS, Downing Street,

longwayoff · 26/01/2022 12:45

Liz Truss is rolling out her new, 'take me seriously, I'm a statesman', voice to show she's a serious contender for PM. She sounds like Thatcher lite. I suppose that's her intention. Shudder.

TheHoptimist · 26/01/2022 12:45

@DuncinToffee

DS, Downing Street,
Yes sorry
merrymouse · 26/01/2022 12:46

how many promises have Johnson's team been frenziedly making to try & keep people in the fold

This is the rest of Johnson’s term for however long it lasts. Frantically shoring up support without direction. Except he doesn’t have the focus to do that.

DuncinToffee · 26/01/2022 12:47

@Roussette

I heard that Duncin

He said he would. He has to.

But of course it's Johnson so who knows as he lies all the time.

The fact he didn't answer it with a simple YES makes me doubt it will.
the80sweregreat · 26/01/2022 12:48

Liz Truss would be silly to go for this job if it comes up at any time soon.
It's a poisoned chalice.

SueSaid · 26/01/2022 12:49

'It's not about parties and cake. This is about the morals and decision making quality of the people who want to make the biggest decisions for our country.'

It isn't. It is about a Cummings led media witch hunt to get revenge and get him out.

Eating and drinking at work was never not allowed. Everyone I know in the nhs said the staff room was full of people chatting and having takeaways every single day people doing tiktoks etc. People weren't all sat in solitary confinent wearing hair shirts.

If any civil servants overstepped the mark and there is evidence of actual parties fine sack them.

Anywayyyy, BJ wiped the floor with whiny 'but party!' Starmer. Again.

You would think that the Boris apologists would watch PMQ's and have a little word with themselves as to just what it is they are defending and see the light but no, they continue posting on here in a similar way to how he himself waffles away trying to tell us that we are not focusing on the important issues blah blah blah. Madness.

The important issue is we don't like having a liar for PM who gaslights the entire nation.

DuncinToffee · 26/01/2022 12:54

Looks like he is being caught out on yet another lie, this time about his personal intervention to get Nowzad animals out of Aghanistan, something he said was complete nonsense on 7 Dec.
