Do you think guilty or innocent

OP posts:
Mamanyt · 02/01/2022 00:39

Guilty, but probably no more so than many royals, both men and women (and non-royals in positions of high power) over the centuries. His problem is that this is no longer acceptable and expected. He's about 100 years behind times on this.

Let's face it...it used to be that those in positions of high power, royal or not, lived personal lives that were very protected. In this age of mass media and international laws, that is no longer possible.

sarah13xx · 02/01/2022 00:41

Guilty all day long but the fact it’s been so quiet up until now and he’s just sort of rode off into the sunset was making me think nothing would come of it. The tide seems to be turning now she’s been found guilty. Just cannot imagine him actually being caught out for it now. The rest of the royals definitely think he’s a creep! The thing that really bugged me was the fact he fell off the face of the earth at the start of all this then reared his head the day Phillip died/his funeral and came out speaking to the press like oh poor me. Of course it’s a shame if someone’s dad has died but it doesn’t make him any less guilty and it made me so mad that he sort of used that for sympathy to get his face back on camera 🤦🏼‍♀️

Theunamedcat · 02/01/2022 00:41

Would Andrew have an accident rather than her though?

Thedogscollar · 02/01/2022 00:43

@sweetbellyhigh

I know without a shadow of a doubt that he is in up to his neck, as are quite a few other big names still not publicly known. I know his personal masseuse.
Tell us moreGrin
toomuchlaundry · 02/01/2022 00:43

Wasn't there something in the news that VG introduced one of the girls in the court case to GM?

And she wasn't underage if she was 17.

I'm not saying he isn't a complete sleazebag

derxa · 02/01/2022 00:45

I don't give a fuck

WatchMyChops · 02/01/2022 00:48

I have my doubts regarding Andrew’s innocence, but I’ll stand by judgment until he’s proven to be guilty. Why is he reluctant to go to the States when he traveled there readily in the past just to break ties with someone that he claims he wasn’t close to in the first place?

I do wonder if the hidden cameras in Epstein’s island/one of his houses where he entertained frequently has something on Andrew. It was said that Epstein kept those tapes for blackmail purposes.

KeeG8181 · 02/01/2022 00:48

Guilty, do I think anything will come of it? Not in our lifetime

immersivereader · 02/01/2022 00:48

Utterly guilty

The bloody Royals and their corrupt morals.

Vive la révolution!

NorthernSoul55 · 02/01/2022 00:48

@PicsInRed

Poor Andrew, the peasantry's thoughts are with him in his quest to find an answer to his most perplexing non-sweating affliction.
Bet he's sweating now...
CharityDingle · 02/01/2022 00:50

I would say he has rediscovered his ability to sweat anyway. Hmm

immersivereader · 02/01/2022 00:50

Do people really believe the royal family kill people?

^

I do. Why wouldn't they?

Upyouranty · 02/01/2022 00:50

Guilty.

evilharpy · 02/01/2022 00:53

Guilty but will never be charged.

I feel sorry for his daughters, they seem like decent people.

DorothyZbornakIsAQueen · 02/01/2022 00:53

Guilty AF.

mathanxiety · 02/01/2022 00:54

but having sex with a 17-year-old is legal in the UK, so the question there is whether or not he broke the laws of another country

Not legal if the girl was trafficked, methinks.

I would say not only guilty but also gobsmackingly stupid - there will be a lot of attempts by his lawyers to backpedal from that ill advised interview and try to deny all the lies he told on camera.

mathanxiety · 02/01/2022 00:55

Wasn't there something in the news that VG introduced one of the girls in the court case to GM?

Yes, they were running a pyramid scheme.

reesewithoutaspoon · 02/01/2022 00:58

Guilty. Are we honestly expected to believe that he went to a pizza hut in Woking and no one saw him or the princesses. None of his security remember the event. not one single witness to corroborate his story. Bullshit.

expat101 · 02/01/2022 01:01

I would have thought if anyone saw P. Andy at a pizza place, they would have run to the media with photos of the event…

HoppingPavlova · 02/01/2022 01:03

I really don’t know. Of course he had sex with her and I completely believe these girls were trafficked. However, quite possibly, in his twisted and deluded mind he honestly thought these girls were absolutely desperately wanting to have sex with him. Instead of comprehending they were trafficked it wouldn’t surprise me if he really thought young girls were writing letters to Epstein begging him to take them to have sex with the great Prince Andrew. Of course this is ludicrous, but I really believe he is that thick, deluded and twisted that he may have honestly believed this. I really think he is best having a defence on grounds of mental illness, as in a way it’s sort of what it is I suspect, guessing he was born like this and it was unfortunately reinforced as normal as he grew up.

Vapeyvapevape · 02/01/2022 01:08

Guilty, I think he knew they were trafficked otherwise he would have dumped JE immediately and not gone in person to ‘break up’ with him.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 02/01/2022 01:09

I'm not entirely sure The Tudors can still be counted. Do you have anything more recent?

I don't have any insider knowledge myself, but when cultures change and things are no longer accepted, it doesn't necessarily mean that people stop doing them - they just get more secretive and devious about it.

Does this principle apply in practice to the RF? I don't know; but it's far from unusual for people in positions of power to do anything possible in order not to lose that power.

I think, if history has taught us anything, it's that many things become much more civilised and less brazen on the surface, but frequently don't change much essentially.

You can achieve a whole lot unseen with an iron fist in a velvet glove.

SummerWhisper · 02/01/2022 01:09

I know two people who have worked for the royals: one said they had to secure girls for him (abroad). The other said Fergie found out early on about his penchant for young girls. I am livid that both of these people have not gone to the police. He is a fucking filthy entitled predator.

tricky29 · 02/01/2022 01:09

The problem will be his intent.

On the face of it, he probably did have sex with her.

Did he know she’d been pressured to do so? That would be hard (not impossible) to prove. In the UK, he had sex with a 17 year old who was seemingly willing to do so. He’s probably that presumptuous and arrogant that it wouldn’t have seemed ‘off’ to him.

Unless I’ve missed it, Virginia Giuffre has not indicated she had sex with him unwillingly, more that she had been pressurised to do so by Epstein and Maxwell.

Morally, he’s disgusting and entitled - she was 17. Not least because he possibly slept with a girl not a million miles away from the age of his own daughters. I think it’s awful when men/women in their 40s sleep with teenagers. I’m sure there is the odd exception but it’s mostly just weird/exploitative. I don’t have any friends (all in our 40s) who wouldn’t think it was anything but really creepy.

His biggest problem will be endless civil cases, public humiliation, what his daughters think of him.

Unless there is some dynamite evidence then I think he’s highly unlikely to be charged with anything. He is just a vile, disgusting man.

PicsInRed · 02/01/2022 01:10

@leccybill

Guilty.

If he was my uncle, I'd want to keep my kids well away from him.

Yes, I'd want....an entire ocean for example.
