Do you think guilty or innocent

Here is Prince Andrew speaking at an NSPCC ‘full stop’ event.

This was his job, for which he was very well rewarded.

But it’s apparently also acceptable for him to be in the camp that thinks the girls who he saw around Epstein are fair game because they are greedy?

Tevion28 · 02/01/2022 13:01

But I do think that the prosecution would look at the photo and question this and as to whether abuse had occurred before after etc.

I doubt it.

The idea that she was smiling and therefore not abused is laughably stupid.

RoyalFamilyFan · 02/01/2022 13:05

@Tevion28 the prosecution have effectively alleged she is a slag. I am sure they will allege all kinds of horrible things to deflect attention from Andrew.

hangrylady · 02/01/2022 13:07

Guilty. And thick too.

Alondra · 02/01/2022 13:11

I think many are not seeing the difference in between a personal court case against Andrew in the US and the ramifications to BRF in the UK.

Even if Andrew is found guilty of having sex with a trafficked minor, it only means is that Andrew would never set foot in the US again. We all know there is no way he'd be extradited.

The problem is going to be for BRF having a convicted US peodophile as part of the royal family. It's the reason I said Charles should stop pussy footing around and get him out. Out of the royal family, out of being a duke, out of any entitlements and out of the civil list before the end of proceedings.

It's time for the royal family to make a stand for the monarchy.

@Georgeskitchen what are you looking for? For us to say she is lying on the basis of your snippet?

Roussette · 02/01/2022 13:14

WTF does a victim look like?
Awful disgusting question

SecretSpAD · 02/01/2022 13:18

@Tevion28

I have every sympathy with rape victims and I am prepared to be flamed but was that photo taken whilst abuse was going on, after or before.
In my sister in law's engagement party photos, wedding photos, in fact all photos she has with her and her husband and children - she is smiling. She looks happy and relaxed. For those particular moments she may have been or she may have been acting. At the end of the day it doesn't matter because she was still a victim.
user15364596354862 · 02/01/2022 13:20

Victim blaming in full swing on this thread I see.

LookslovelyinSpringtime · 02/01/2022 13:23

@ParkheadParadise

I was looking at pictures of PA, GM, JE and this popped up.

Prince Andrew is one of the members of the Royal Family who will be honoured with a Platinum Jubilee medal from the Queen in 2022.

The Duke of York, 61, stepped back from royal duties due to controversy surrounding his friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, but is still expected to receive the award

That's nice getting a wee medal from his Mammy 🤑🤑🤑

I can’t actually believe this. It’s so tone deaf it’s not true.
DontTellThemYourNamePike · 02/01/2022 13:23

@Tevion28

Yes its just something I observed and she doesn't look like a victim in that photo.
What SHOULD she look like? I've read some idiotic statements on here, but that takes the biscuit.
Vapeyvapevape · 02/01/2022 13:24

@merrymouse I’ve just had a look at that clip , couldn’t watch it all though, and maybe it’s hindsight clouding my opinion but he sounded so insincere.

RoyalFamilyFan · 02/01/2022 13:25

@Vapeyvapevape no it is not hindsight. It destroyed his reputation. Lots of people watched it a bit unsure about the allegations, and by the end thought he was guilty.

Alondra · 02/01/2022 13:28

@Tevion28

So maybe it's naivety then she didn't realise she was been abused.
And because she didn't know that she was being abused as a minor, is that ok?

What about if she was 14, or 12 or 10?

Would they know they are abused if they've been groomed?

If you have a daugher, what age do you think it's appropriate for an adult to groom her into sex with other men?

Vapeyvapevape · 02/01/2022 13:28

@RoyalFamilyFan are you talking about the Maitlis interview or the Nspcc one?

Stoic123 · 02/01/2022 13:28

Guilty of questionable morals - very.

Not sure about criminal guilt- I'm with PP who think he is probably egotistical enough to believe his charm and charisma sufficient enough, without coercion, to entice a young girl to have sex with him.

CaveMum · 02/01/2022 13:29

There’s another aspect to that photo of PA. He claims he has no recollection of it or VG but that photo screams “intimacy”. It is not your bog-standard “photo with a celeb”, he has his hand on her waist, touching bare skin. His body positioning is turned towards her and he is to all intents and purposes touching her hips with his crotch.

There is no “right” way to look like a victim, or to look like a predator for that matter. The bad guys don’t all look like monsters with evil eyes and monstrous features: they look like every one else - that’s how they are able to blend in and fool so many people.

RoyalFamilyFan · 02/01/2022 13:30

@Vapeyvapevape the Maitlis interview. Were you talking about the NSPCC one?

Funnylittlefloozie · 02/01/2022 13:31

@Georgeskitchen, whats your point? That victims can't be repeatedly abused? Your anecdote makes it WORSE, if anything. I'm not very keen on people who blame trafficking and abuse victims for their own rapes and assaults. Why do you think its ok in this case?

Alondra · 02/01/2022 13:31

@Tevion28

But I do think that the prosecution would look at the photo and question this and as to whether abuse had occurred before after etc.
You seem to be focussed on one photograph. The prosecution have much more arsenal against him than a public picture most of the world have seen already.
Vapeyvapevape · 02/01/2022 13:31

@RoyalFamilyFan yes the nspcc one- there’s no doubting his guilt watching the news night interview.

RoyalFamilyFan · 02/01/2022 13:32

Okay will watch the NSPCC interview then. TBH I didn't as I thought it would be usual celebrity guff.

cleocleo81 · 02/01/2022 13:33

@Georgeskitchen

Veering away from Prince Andrew but still in the Epstein_Maxwell sphere. I read an interview by one of the victims who was recruited as a trainee massage therapist. She was in her early 20s. I think it was the one pictured massaging Bill Clinton's shoulders. She went on to describe her ordeal at the hands of JE and said how much she dreaded attending his appointments knowing she would be raped and abused......now correct me if I am.missing something but she also added that this happened weekly for 4 YEARS !! Just putting it out there.........
I wonder what would have happened if she had said no. If she'd walked away? Why couldn't she walk away?

My FIL stated over Christmas that although he doesn't condone what went on he doesn't think the girls are innocent themselves. I pointed out weren't some of them 14? I haven't read the ins and outs to know how he got to that conclusion. But I put an quick ending to that discussion.
