Watching The Big Fat Quiz if the Year on Channel 4 and finding Jonathan Ross so irritating, attention-seeking and unnecessarily rude, just not funny.
AIBU to think he's had his day?

Oddly I’ve never particularly liked him, but DP and I enjoyed him in that.

I voted YABU as he has always been like this. I could never stand watching his chat show as he would ask his guest a question but then interrupt said guest with one of his many "witticisms"

He had his day years ago. He seemed to think he was Mr Irresistible when he did his talk show, with regular innuendos. It's was cringeworthy then and even worse now.

I remember when he first appeared on the screen in the 80s. He was hailed as the next big thing. Yet show after show he presented flopped with poor ratings (Zoo Tv being a particular dud).

But here we are 35 years later and he’s still on the box. Epitome of failing upwards.

I agree. He had his day years ago and he's just nut funny or even amiable any more.
Whenever I see him now , he is cringeworthy. Like your dad at a disco.

Definitely a big cringe as are his family. Totally irrelevant and not funny at all. His chat show is awful, I much prefer Alan Carr or Graham Norton.

He's like Jools Holland. TV thinks we love them and keep putting them on.
Media folk are clearly not listening and so these duds keep appearing.
They're embarrassing.

I'm watching right now and finding him quite funny. Different strokes.

Yes. He's properly crap. I suppose they were after 'completely immature adult who behaves like a stroppy teenager' but Jack Whitehall was unavailable.

Walking through the streets of Wimbledon years ago on our way to the tennis, a convertible sports car, hood down, music blaring, screeched around a corner and sped past us with 2 laughing middle aged in the driver and passenger seat. It was Ross and Danny Baker. Their behaviour was so attention seeking I felt embarrassed for them. He's always been awful - he must have some serious dirt on some high ups in TV.

I was just going to mention the Andrew Sachs incident.

Have just checked- sleazy one is not dead but he has lots of other siblings that I had no idea existed.

No, I thought he was very funny actually. Although I agree with the attention seeking, although Maya Jama last year took the biscuit.

Agree and the fact he is a big porn collector which he used to have delivered to his office and open in front of workers there makes him creepy as well.

Not funny. James Acaster was great though, as usual.
