Hello, I called today and they had made a decision on the 30th. We were refused due to lack of medical evidence which i thought would happen as we were waiting for our big hospital appointment today. Once I get the decision letter I will do an mr with more evidence. Hope you all hear soon x

Really sorry to hear this id advice writing a letter to go with your Mr qnd really try and be blunt as to why your child has more needs than a typical child of their age. Also im sure you know already but ask for a statement of reasons and again argue against their points and if you can try get a few more bits of evidence even a simple letter from doc outlining issues etc can help. They did the same to us complete refusal and now we have been granted high care and low mobility when I did a Mr please don't give up you know your child best feel free to message me if you want some advice or some help with the letter x
Sha2022 · 01/04/2022 23:03

Hello everyone . Anyone hear from 31 jan. Please let me know thanks .

Tourettesmum · 02/04/2022 15:45

Hello all, I sent in a change of circumstances which was acknowledged mid Feb saying it would take 11 weeks 😭. I got a letter apologising for no decision a couple of weeks ago. Are people currently hearing from January applications then? And are they new claims? Anyone waiting for a COC like me? I have had to hand my notice in at work because my Son is very challenging every morning before school and my anxiety hit the max where I had. To take a week off sick. He can also go into a rage over the simplist of things, he has now started swearing with his Tourettes and blurting out other inappropriate things. I am going to a less mentally challenging job at the end of April but if awarded MRC I could look at applying for carers allowance, if I can make it work with hrs (would still need to earn as well). It took me a while to realise that he has become harder to manage and care for in the last year and I need to look after my mental health as a single mum so that I can take of both my Sons. So hard waiting isn't it! X

Klauren · 03/04/2022 22:53

Will need to check if they've received it. Could be waiting quite a while 🥺

Mum2Two91 · 04/04/2022 13:50

@Tourettesmum hi I am currently awaiting a COC. They received my forms 12th January, so I’m on the 12th week this week. Been told it’s up to 18 weeks when I rang the other week, so I’ve just been coming on here to see any updates. May ring back up this week, as from what I have read on other posts is that different people on the phone say different things. Good Luck on your COC.

Ilovemychildren123 · 04/04/2022 17:19

Anybody know what time they answer the phones to if you are on hold before 5pm
