Pmp1315.same here it’s been 8weeks and still not with decision maker . They told me same thing 10 weeks or could be more .

Dizzydream · 28/03/2022 18:11

Well looks like my child's MR is on the process of being looked at 😬 just recieved a voicemail from someone from the dla team and he will be calling back in 10 minutes!! Surely its better than an outright no ?? So nervous !!

PuddlePip · 28/03/2022 19:01

@Dizzydream good luck! Please let us know what they phoned for as I'm waiting on a MR aswell. How long have you been waiting?

Dizzydream · 28/03/2022 19:40

Hi so he had a load of questions for me regarding night time needs and some other bits was actually not too bad even though I was shaking like a leaf haha it would be 4 weeks Thursday for us and happily he said at the end of the call he would be awarding my child a claim just to wait for a letter or payment to find out what they have been awarded so relived been waiting since beginning of November altogether, thanks everyone for your support been appreciated xx

Ilovemychildren123 · 28/03/2022 20:26

@Dizzydream so pleased for you and glad it is all sorted x

Dizzydream · 28/03/2022 20:45

Thanks so much 😊 x

PuddlePip · 28/03/2022 22:32

@Dizzydream brilliant news 👏 I'd be shaking like a leaf too, I just completely draw a blank when I'm a bit anxious haha. You can relax now though, you must be over the moon

Dizzydream · 29/03/2022 07:38

Oh same ! Although he was really lovely which put me at ease a bit, yeah I'm really pleased I knew they were entitled to it im actually glad they rang the first assessor didn't even read the form properly from what I could gather but this was read everything and I sent a 5 or 6 page letter 😬😅

Ilovemychildren123 · 29/03/2022 09:09

I just called them and I am getting the same information as everybody else that new claims are taking 10 weeks and we are still in a queue to be sent to a case worker. She said if there is enough evidence a decision will be made but they could send for a report from our paediatrician but they will keep us informed at all times if this happens. I hope we hear soon 🤞the waiting is a nightmare x

OutlookStalking · 29/03/2022 09:13

Sorry joined the long thread to ask if anyone knows about renewals? we completely forgot/didnt realise it took so long!!!!

What happens if the renewal is sent in the last week of the original being valid?!

Mummyemx · 30/03/2022 14:29

Hello, has anyone heard back from the 26th January? X

Ilovemychildren123 · 30/03/2022 14:46

@Mummyemx you are probably looking at another week as I called yesterday and they said they are running at around 10 weeks for new claims. Mine was received the 1st February so hoping to hear the 2nd week in April. They are working overtime at weekends to clear the back log. It was 12 weeks not long ago. Hope you hear soon x

Pmp1315 · 30/03/2022 15:06

Hey, i read they are on claims from the 24th of Jan today. Hopefully towards the end of next week you will hear something. X

OutlookStalking · 30/03/2022 15:07

I've written it in blue ink . Help?! I've just read that it needs to be black ink... any idea if they'd reject it?

I'm struggling to get through it all. It feels so high pressure to get it right as so much is riding on it.

DoubleGauze · 30/03/2022 17:47

Can I just ask if they always phone you? I've just realised that my old phone number is on the form and I know my claim is being assessed as they phoned my child's nursery today.

DoubleGauze · 30/03/2022 17:47

My form was recieved on January 24th.

Not always no my son has been getting dla for 6 years now 3 2 year claims and iv only ever been rung once over his, my other child that has just been awarded they rang me, give them a ring tomorrow and just update your phone number to be on the safe side 😊
DoubleGauze · 30/03/2022 21:53

@Dizzydream thank you , I'll do that.

I unexpectedly had to change my number a few days ago and completely forgot about it being on that form.

DoubleGauze · 31/03/2022 13:06

I had unexpected news when I phoned to change my number today , my child's claim has been awarded. I almost cried when the lady told me.

It'll make a huge difference to us. We can replace his broken toys , start taking him to soft play again and also start taking cabs to his appointments rather than struggling on public transport with a scared little boy. I'm so overwhelmed.

Ilovemychildren123 · 31/03/2022 13:15

@DoubleGauze so pleased for you - when did they receive your form? X

DoubleGauze · 31/03/2022 13:30

@Ilovemychildren123 thank you , on 24/1.

Ilovemychildren123 · 31/03/2022 13:43

@DoubleGauze ohhh that’s good news I hope that we get our decision soon x

DoubleGauze · 31/03/2022 14:02

@Ilovemychildren123 good luck Smile

Ilovemychildren123 · 31/03/2022 14:08

@DoubleGauze thank you xx
