Rewritethestars1 · 16/03/2022 21:21

@Ilovemychildren123 thanks I think I will ring.

thisisscary · 17/03/2022 07:53

I rang up yesterday (45 minutes on the phone!) and was told the current wait is between 8 and 15 weeks depending on whether they need extra information. I cried and explained we have nothing and he said it’s not a subsistence grant and can’t be sped up Sad

Ilovemychildren123 · 17/03/2022 14:14

@thisisscary it does take a long time I applied 1st February and still waiting could you get an advance on Universal Credit to see you through? X

thisisscary · 17/03/2022 14:19

@Ilovemychildren123 that’s exactly what I’ve just done! Smile

Ilovemychildren123 · 17/03/2022 14:21

@thisisscary perfect would hate to think of you in financial difficulty and I’m sure it will all come together x

Fandangofran · 18/03/2022 09:48

Just had the payment into my bank so took 3 working days from getting the text. (Still no letter though but thinking that might take a few more days)

Looks like MRC and LRM so I'm quite happy with that.

Tinkerbellone · 18/03/2022 12:52

Rang again today. Mine was received on 7th Jan... apparently it's now with the case worker. They are working on 5th to 11th of January. She estimates 2 weeks 🤦🏼‍♀️

Tinkerbellone · 18/03/2022 13:31

@Fandangofran that's great news 😊...has the backdate payment gone in for you as well?

Thanks

Yes almost £1500 Grin

Can finally replace all the things he's smashed in the house.

Tinkerbellone · 18/03/2022 14:17

@Fandangofran that's absolutely brilliant. My house has holes in every door from meltdowns 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yep holes in the wall from slamming the doors during meltdowns - I think we're on our 5th TV in 18 months. He's picked and picked at the sofa til it's full of holes.

We've just given up replacing as we couldn't afford it but I'm sick of living in a hovel.

Sha2022 · 21/03/2022 17:11

Hi.everyone anyone apply feb. Any update .

Dizzydream · 21/03/2022 17:54

Does anyone know how long mandatory reconsiderations are taking at the moment.. thanks 😊

PuddlePip · 21/03/2022 23:13

@Dizzydream I'd like to know too, they told us 5 weeks on the phone but the letter said 11 weeks

Dizzydream · 22/03/2022 07:22

Yeah its very confusing isn't it hopefully not too long, how long have you been waiting ??

PuddlePip · 22/03/2022 11:36

@Dizzydream only 2 weeks so far. When did you ask for the reconsideration?

Dizzydream · 22/03/2022 12:24

We sent ours in 3 weeks ago didn't want to do it on the phone thought it was best to do it in writing and sent an extra couple of pieces of evidence to back it up too

Cally70 · 22/03/2022 14:26

I've just called them. Took 45 mins to get through. They're working on claims received on 19 January now

Ilovemychildren123 · 22/03/2022 14:57

@Cally70 is that new claims please x

Worried74 · 22/03/2022 15:40

Called today, on hold for 40 minutes, wouldn't help me just said form received, there's a backlog, you will hear when you hear! So frustrating

Cally70 · 22/03/2022 15:59

@Ilovemychildren123 yes, new claims

Ilovemychildren123 · 22/03/2022 16:00

Sha2022 · 22/03/2022 16:11
