Suzzie101 · 30/12/2021 13:24

hi! New to this all but I started a new claim for my daughter and it was received and stamped on 30th October, reaching 9 weeks and no response as of yet, any ideas of the waiting time ?

Most defiantly I believe she should be entitled to HR, have you done yours? X

Fandangofran · 15/03/2022 14:01

Sorry to jump on but can anyone tell me how long it was between getting the text and receiving the letter with the rates.

I had a text this morning to say my son is eligible and not to ring unless I don't get the letter within a fortnight. Don't really have the time or credit to ring them anyway tbh but just want to know really because its been driving me mad waiting to hear from them.

Thanks.

I wish I knew the answer to this! It is free to call, but I have been in meetings so not had a chance to call them. I did hold for 10 minutes yesterday but had to go to a meeting.
Fandangofran · 15/03/2022 14:55

@daisybrown37 - yes this is the main issue. I'm at work so I can't spend ages waiting as I need to go to meetings, answer the phone etc. Suppose I'll just have to patient and wait for the letter

Tinkerbellone · 15/03/2022 15:57

@Fandangofran that's great you've had a decision. When did they receive your application? Mine was 7th January and I'm still waiting :(

PuddlePip · 15/03/2022 15:59

@Amyxkx yes I put it in about a week ago. They said on the phone 5 weeks but I got a letter today saying 11 so looking forward to the wait 🙄 it seriously would help to send video evidence, there's only so much professionals can write without seeing the kids out and about everyday

I received a text on Thursday and money was in my bank today! No letter as yet, but I did ring me asap them following the text and they told me over the phone x
Jodelious · 15/03/2022 16:02

Sorry, I did ring them

@Tinkerbellone.

Thanks. I was so sure we were going to be rejected though knowing our luck it will be just lower rate care and I'll end up doing and Mr anyway.

They received ours on 21st December so exactly 12 weeks today.

Shouldn't be long for you now hopefully.

Amyh490 · 15/03/2022 18:35

Yeah they can backdate it I was told from universal credit when I rang with change of circumstances I know the dla claims are taking a very long time. They received my sons on 23rd December and we just got a decision last week. He’s been awarded middle rate no mobility as he’s just nearly 3. I was just wondering if anyone else had had there universal disabled child element backdated. You can also backdate care element but I’m not entitled to that as I work part time.

daisybrown37 · 15/03/2022 22:19

@Fandangofran I have been paid my money now. Still not entirely sure what rates he got! Looks higher than my eldest who gets MRC and LRM.

@daisybrown37. That's great news.

Hopefully not long for me now then.

envy4 · 16/03/2022 10:29

@Frandangofan they received my application form on the 7th Jan too. I received a payment in my account today. Looks like we got HRC no mobility as he's only a baby.

daisybrown37 · 16/03/2022 10:32

@Fandangofran. Shouldn’t be much longer for you.

I have worked out that he has got MRC and LRM - which is what I expected.

Now to relax until his brother’s renewal is due later this year!

Ilovemychildren123 · 16/03/2022 10:47

@envy4 how old is your baby please? x

9 months x

Ilovemychildren123 · 16/03/2022 12:55

@envy4 thank you for responding I hope your baby boy is ok x

MintyFreshBreath · 16/03/2022 13:43

They’re a nightmare. When I did my first application for PIP, I heard nothing whatsoever until £600 odd turned up in my account from them. My approval letter arrived a week or so later. Due to lockdown and various extensions, my original two year award will have lasted closer to 5 without seeing anyone by the time it runs out next year. I’m definitely not looking forward to all the waiting when my time comes. Good luck to you all 🤞

Pmp1315 · 16/03/2022 15:44

Hey! I spoke to them today as my little ones form was scanned on jan 31st around the same time as yours.

They said they are now dealing with claims from the second week of Jan. therefore it should be 3 weeks max, as the decision maker actually gets sent the file one week in advance (so in 2 weeks time) they then call you that week before if they require extra info. However, he did say either way i should know in 3 weeks.

Hopefully wont be too long and may be sooner and he gave me the worse case scenario.

Ilovemychildren123 · 16/03/2022 15:53

@Pmp1315 is this for PIP or DLA please? X

Pmp1315 · 16/03/2022 16:32

Hi,

This is for DLA xx

Ilovemychildren123 · 16/03/2022 16:42

@Pmp1315 thank you mine was received February 1st so hopefully 3 weeks fingers crossed xx

Rewritethestars1 · 16/03/2022 20:29

Hi
How do you all know when your forms were received please

Tinkerbellone · 16/03/2022 21:16

@Rewritethestars1 after you have posted the form and all the evidence. You receive a letter confirming the date they received it all. xx

Ilovemychildren123 · 16/03/2022 21:19

@Rewritethestars1 I called them to check but got a letter a few days after that x
