Ohh good luck i think it looks positive that he rang you if they were going to just decline why bother ?? Il keep my fingers crossed for you x

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 11:19

@Dizzydream that’s true I just found it odd I’ve never heard of them calling to ask why a form was late when they are clearly so busy and have a back log thank you! How is it going for you? X

Dizzydream · 22/01/2022 11:33

No me neither, and iv not heard anything yet but I think may be a good few weeks yet to be honest they recieved my child's form on the 22nd November so only just 9 weeks x

Lougle · 22/01/2022 11:40

If your form is on time they award from the date the form was requested. If your form is late, they only award from the date the form was received. It's possible that as it was only a couple of days late, he's looking to see if he can ignore the fact that it was late, so he asked you for the reason to see if he could justify it.

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 11:57

@Dizzydream @Lougle I was just replying to you both but then the text came in! Awarded!!! 🎉 so relieved she was refused 18 months ago did a MR refused again so this was a brand new claim I burst into tears just felt this instant relief and also sadness that it’s real her issues are real she is yet to be diagnosed!
Thank you so backdated possibly when to the form was received?
Ahh how are you feeling dizzydream? It’s so tough emotionally and physically! I have everything crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞x

Dizzydream · 22/01/2022 12:05

So happy for you !! Well done for keeping fighting for what your child deserves, I'm ok honestly I don't even let it affect me anymore I have 2 kids with a lot of additional needs and 3 with none so I keep busy enough to try not worry lol plus il just fight them all the way to appeal if they turn my child down as I know they should be entitled to it x

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 12:27

@Dizzydream thanks so much!!
Wow you have a lot on your shoulders but you sound very strong I’m glad you will keep fighting it’s all we can do isn’t it! Please update me when you find out x

mumof41992 · 22/01/2022 13:06

mumof41992 · 22/01/2022 13:09

mumof41992 · 22/01/2022 13:10

If you phoned to request the form then you get backdated to when you phoned, as long as the form was received on time or you have 'good reason' why it wasn't.

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 13:37

@Lougle thank you

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 13:38

@mumof41992 yes mine was 9th November and was awarded today!

mumof41992 · 22/01/2022 13:47

Omg really? Did you get a text? Did you send loads of info? That's amazing news well done the agonising wait is over for you and little one.

mumof41992 · 22/01/2022 13:48

@miracle081216 what date did you recover you letter saying they are still to make a decision? Sorry for the 100 questions. Xx

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 15:07

That’s ok @mumof41992 I know how it feels! Thank you 🙏 Yeah I got a text today I called them yesterday and they said no decision and today the decision maker rang me!!! He wanted to know why the form was late back and he told me he was making a decision today within two hours I had a text!
I got the letter about still looking at decision in first week of January not sure of exact date but I can look when I get home! How are you feeling? Sending hope and positive thinking! X

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 15:09

@mumof41992 I sent 1 piece of info and that was just a report from CAMHS from a telephone consult that was it! I know school said if they contacted the school they would support it but she has no diagnosis and no paperwork they just did it off the form and the school backing me up x

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 15:10

@mumof41992 I think because of the pandemic it’s been so hard to get certain appointments and paperwork x

mumof41992 · 22/01/2022 15:51

@miracle081216 that's amazing am chuffed for you. Sounds so similar to my son, school wrote on the from he has tendacies of adhd and add and can't be in the class room and has a full time spa that was it and they also said if they were contacted then would comply but didn't send anything away as don't really have anything he's been on waiting list for calms for 3 years and not been seen only one letter saying he was in the waiting list. So am hoping and praying, I want him to do swimming lessons for add children but there super expensive also want to purchase a decent weighted blanket at he only sleeps 4 hours a night but with other kids and bills etc I can never find the money just needing that little bit of extra help to help him get the best out of life if you get me. Hard going the wait though I check my bank daily every morning out of habit something will be in it haha. Don't mind me asking what rate you got? I'd be happy with even lower rate that would pay for his weekly swim lesson. X

mumof41992 · 22/01/2022 15:53

@miracle081216 asd

Mumsheree · 22/01/2022 16:08

@miracle081216 did you get a call back and hear what it's.about?

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 17:10

@Mumsheree yeah it was the decision maker he wanted to know why form was late he then said he will make a decision today and then I had a text saying it’s been awarded! 🙏

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 17:15

@mumof41992 yeah I totally get it! It’s hard budgeting as it is let alone all the extra. Yours sounds positive my daughters school did not write on the form they were phoned so even that part of the form was blank! No idea what rate yet they don’t tell you on text will find out on Monday when I call or when letter arrives but like you I don’t mind if it’s the lower it’s just a relief to have been awarded and that her problems are acknowledged it’s been 3 years that I’ve been trying to get this so it just feels like she’s finally got validation! I’m sending you so much luck please let me know how you get on x
