Dla waiting times

hi! New to this all but I started a new claim for my daughter and it was received and stamped on 30th October, reaching 9 weeks and no response as of yet, any ideas of the waiting time ?

@miracle081216 amazing news! Am scared to phone them again as I just phoned on Friday and he wasn't very helpful.

Different payment type but my manual calculation took 8 weeks. I was told by a manager that it usually takes 6-8 weeks. That being said, I had submitted a formal complaint alongside this, so that may have influenced their timescales.

I phoned today. Decision made yesterday. But received no text about award. Positive outcome. The relief was very quickly overcome with the realisation that many speak of. How many days does it take to receive back payment from dla?

@miracle081216 I am just of the phone to them, really disheartened. I got my dates mixed up, am positive I didn't but that woman just told me they received it on the 18th of November but I could of sworn it was 5th but anyway it is what it is and that's it's in a holding que and not with a decision maker as of yet, but was told that it was in the decision makes large pile a couple of weeks ago. So stressful. Am going to switch of from it now and hope and pray. But reading your previous posts your child was refused before so am preparing for the worse. Makes it worse that after about a year on the waiting list for specialised swimming lessons he's 4th on the list which yeah it could be another few months but it could be next week and I just don't know I'll manage hoping it's another month at least so I can get this sorted out xx

They should be on the 18th next week so I would be expecting a decision by the end of next week if I was you. Could be the beginning but I'd hold out in the hope to hear by the end of next week if I was you. So not much longer. Not everyone gets refused first time claiming.

My son’s DLA is due to end on the 22nd February and now I’m going through the anxious wait to see if his renewal is successful.
What date roughly will I know by?

Probably not until a couple of days before my sons was due to end the 17th dec we found out the 10th dec

I’ve got just under a month of waiting left then.
It’s agonising .

@mumof41992 don’t worry I was told on Friday mine wasn’t with a DM yet and Saturday it was and awarded I’ve been on a few threads regarding this and it looks like at the moment decisions are mostly made on a Saturday! My daughter was denied it because her old school didn’t back me up! They had no idea of special needs they were awful a family even took them to court they told DLA that my child is “normal” her school she’s been at for 6 months have given her and me more support than she’s ever had and they are no doubt the reason she’s been awarded because I had no evidence to send one piece of paper of a telephone consultation with camhs and that was it! Don’t give up hope I kept telling myself think positive think positive I know it’s hard though! I’m only a message away feel free to inbox me but we are all here for you on here because we know what it’s like ❤️

I rang today and mine was with the decision maker. Sent mine the 24th November. . recieved the 25th November then had a letter to say 'sorry I haven't heard yet' That was dated the 12th January. The lovely lady I spoke to said they are taking around 10 weeks.

Mine has been with them since the 5th November. Just taking ages stressing me out now knowing x

I think the more evidence you send the longer the DM will need to go through it all which isn’t a bad thing because hopefully it means they will give the correct award. My sorry letter was in first week of January and then awarded Saturday. Keep the hope not long now! 🙏x

I did sent a few bits of information in just didn't realise it can take so long with the decision maker .. I have everything crossed I wasn't even aware I could apply until someone told me as I thought you had to have a diagnosis.. silly me xx
