Hopefully you should hear soon the woman i spoke to said they were working on 8th nov when I rang yesterday 🤞

miracle0812 · 21/01/2022 11:57

You too🤞

miracle0812 · 21/01/2022 11:59

@Dizzydream when I rang today she said working on 1st November maybe different for different areas? I’m in North West

Dizzydream · 21/01/2022 12:17

I take everything they say with a pinch of salt every person i speak to says something completely different and contradicts the last person I spoke to hopefully won't be much longer either way and hopefully all our children get the awards they deserve x

miracle0812 · 21/01/2022 12:37

@Dizzydream yep always something different it’s very annoying not to get a straight answer! Sending lots of luck to you x

Lougle · 21/01/2022 13:49

Tbh, although I know it's frustrating not to know, I'm not sure it helps to keep phoning. It just clogs up the lines for people who do actually need to speak to them.

miracle0812 · 21/01/2022 14:13

@Lougle I don’t it’s the second time I called in 3 months and because I was told to call back in 7-10 days so I did 😊 I’ve been through this process for 8 years for my eldest and it’s never been this far behind in dealing with claims I only call when they tell me to

Mumsheree · 21/01/2022 14:35

@Lougle
That's such a stupid comment to make. Do you think waiting 3 months on a decision on if your child can get some extra support when they're clearly entitled to it or in need of it as acceptable? It's totally unacceptable an people should be ringing up as much as they feel the need to! Idiot

RedFlagsAllOver · 21/01/2022 14:49

I'm still waiting to hear about my sons. He's deaf and his claim runs out this month, I sent renewal forms off in November and haven't heard anything other than they got it. No decision yet

Ruth1986 · 21/01/2022 15:04

Hi all, has anyone heard anything yet and sent theirs off around the 25th November? I had a letter the other day saying it was taking longer than expected.. that was dated 12th Jan. Heard they are taking there time for new DLA claims. Just really anxious now.

That's quite rude. I have children with DLA. I have a child waiting on a PIP result. Of course we worry. I'm saying that all the time people phone up to chase, which has no impact on the timeline at all, other people who need to give information that might affect their claim can't get through.

Hi @RedFlagsAllOver when DD2's claim needed renewing last August, they took it right to the wire but she did get her renewal in time. When they have a big backlog they sometimes prioritise in order of claim renewal date, so try not to worry just yet. I don't think the claim can lapse in the interim anyway because you have supplied the form.
Mumsheree · 21/01/2022 15:29

If they was straight with people on the phones then people wouldn't keep needing to ring back? Or if their letters didn't take so long to arrive people wouldn't need to phone to find out a decision hence why people keep ring to find out the decisions! Or if they was following an actual process which their clearly not as you have amy in this thread scanned on the 8th Nov with a decision last week. Then you have people in this thread scanned before her in same position as her i.e new claim not a renewal and they're still waiting! It's a joke! It's a very long time to wait for such a sensitive subject. Which many people have to appeal so its a very long process so if people want to phone an find out answers that's there business and preventing nobody else from doing their own business. We're not concerned about other people we're concerned about our own children. If people want to chase then they should without being made to feel like they're doing something wrong by people like yourself.

@Ruth1986 mine was sent end of October they said received and “scanned in” 9th November was told a week ago today to call back but when I did they said decision still not been made x

Liveandlove91 · 21/01/2022 16:07

@Lougle if people want to ring then they can ! People get denied and have to wait 10 days for a letter so ringing and knowing so you can start your appeal is better than waiting the extra time. I will ring everyday if I wanted too

Mumsheree · 21/01/2022 16:33

Ruth1986

It depends if its a renewal or new claim? If its a renewal I've seen their getting dealt with this same week its due to end atm, so if its a renewal expect a decision the same week its due to end. If its a new claim your looking at around 10-11 weeks from the date it was received an scanned before a decision maker is passed your claim. There currently working around about 8th Nov now

Mumsheree · 21/01/2022 16:38

My child's was scanned the same day as miracle0812 I was told its was passed to a decision marker yesterday so I'm guessing you'll be the same and probably get a decision next week? As for Ruth it depends was day they received form? Did she send it off the 25th or did they receive it the 25? If its the latter then she's looking around another 2/3 weeks. Can't really give a answer on the former cause all depends when they actually received it back.

miracle0812 · 21/01/2022 16:43

@Mumsheree ahh good luck I hope you get what you need for your child! Let me know when you get a decision 🤞

Mumsheree · 21/01/2022 16:59

@miracle0812 thank you I hope it's a positive outcome for your child also an they get the rates their entitled an the end of your dla worries. They told me to phone back Tuesday an they should have a decision but I'll not hold my breath on that. At least someone is soon finally going to look at our child's claims after weeks an weeks of absolutely nothing. Such a relief just knowing its finally going to be looked at tbh

miracle0812 · 21/01/2022 18:02

@Mumsheree thank you I’m not holding much hope as due to the pandemic I don’t have lots of evidence/reports etc but who knows! Yeah it’s totally ridiculous how long it’s taking it’s not right especially when the money will be used to help her privately so children are missing out on months of what they need x

Suzzie101 · 21/01/2022 20:36

does anyone know when i should receive my back pay?

Had a missed call and then this text! Is it a good sign when they ring?

Dla waiting times
miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 09:19

@Suzzie101 I think it’s usually 1-3 weeks x

miracle081216 · 22/01/2022 09:56

They called back it was the decision maker! He said he asked why the form was late (2 days) and that he is making the decision today he said I would get a letter in the next 14 days is this good or bad sign do we think? I was not expecting the DM to call me and why to ask about the form why not ask more about my child?
