Myfab421 · 17/01/2022 12:00

I rang this morning and was told to wait another couple of weeks before I ring again, I’m currently on week 9, the lady on the phone wasn’t very helpful and just couldn’t be bothered 😒

Conspiracyornotr · 18/01/2022 09:58

It's a very long wait . They are dealing w8ith claims sent from Nov. I am anxious about the decision 😬

Myfab421 · 18/01/2022 10:19

I know it’s terrible not knowing, mine was scanned on the 16th nov so still have a couple of weeks left to wait, good luck with yours though and hopefully we will all hear soon x

Conspiracyornotr · 18/01/2022 10:29

@Myfab421 you sent yours not long after me. A few weeks and we should hear something . Fingers crossed xx

Hi I done a change of circumstances for my son on the 15th of September and now I’m on the 18th week waiting rung them today and the lady said they are working on dates up to the 20th of September so should have a decision this week how long do it take to pay out back dated payments is awarded many thanks

KingSeokjin · 18/01/2022 16:01

Hi,

My daughter applied for PIP a while ago, they said no so we did a mandatory reconsideration which also came back as a no so we submitted an appeal with new and recent evidence.

However I received a call from the DWP today asking to speak to my daughter she was at college so I told them that and they are ringing back tomorrow because they need to talk to her about her abilities and other stuff!

Does anyone know what this means as she’s panicking now!

Thanks.

xxAmy · 18/01/2022 16:22

@Haygooner14 they told me 5 working days for the back payment, it was awarded Thursday and in the bank Tuesday

Raychel1989 · 20/01/2022 00:07

PuddlePip · 20/01/2022 09:17

Helpimfalling · 20/01/2022 12:13

I rang today and there working on claims from the 8th November. For DLA.

Liveandlove91 · 20/01/2022 17:38

Ohh exciting anyone had any good news ? X

Myfab421 · 20/01/2022 18:24

No I’m still waiting, if they working on claims from the 8th may have another week or two because they scanned mine on the 16th, just over 9 weeks so far, hate waiting and not knowing, be glad when I get an answer either way so I can stop wondering and guessing 😂

Liveandlove91 · 20/01/2022 18:27

I might call them tomorrow I can't wait for a letter or money to just go in . Making me anxious 😟

Myfab421 · 20/01/2022 18:54

I know it’s horrible not knowing, I rang up Monday but they didn’t give any information just asked me why was I ringing? I said well just asking for an update as it’s 9 weeks and she told me well ring back in another couple of weeks, you could tell she just didn’t want to be in work that day 😂, so I’m not going to ring no more and just going to wait anxiously, hope you get your answers tomorrow, fingers crossed.

miracle0812 · 20/01/2022 21:39

Anyone have any updates? I’m still waiting to hear for my DD forms received by them first week of November! I called a week ago and he said I should call back in 7-10 days so will call again tomorrow! Back in the day when applying for my eldest it was 6 weeks now it seems to be more than double that!

OhWifey · 21/01/2022 09:42

Wow @Raychel1989. We will be the same then. Change of circs received 3rd Oct I think. I wonder why it's so much longer than new claims

Raychel1989 · 21/01/2022 09:45

I know it is crazy I wish in the letters they send they give you a proper date and if going to be late send a text I feel like are we waiting all this time and they may turn around and say no you staying as you are

SpookyScarySkeletons · 21/01/2022 09:59

My PIP finally came through today after applying last June.

I'm so happy that they have awarded enhanced rate daily living and mobility without having to appeal! Haven't had the letter yet and got a bit of a shock when I saw it on the bank this morning!

Raychel1989 · 21/01/2022 10:14

Wow congrats that’s such a long time how did you cope with the wait x

SpookyScarySkeletons · 21/01/2022 10:21

I still work, although from home, so it was ok for day to day bills etc. I really need it for some adaptations like a wet room that will make my life easier and I can have a bit more independence. I can't even have a shower alone at the moment, nobody needs to ask their husband to shave their legs every week! I can also afford a cleaner now and an ironer as those are two bits I really struggle with and DH works full time so spends all his time either working, cooking, cleaning, ferrying DC around, ironing, washing... honestly he never stops!
Dizzydream · 21/01/2022 10:30

Had my child's new claim scanned 22nd nov rang yesterday said to be looking at another 10-14 days before a decision so hopefully the waiting times are coming down a bit and it won't be 16 weeks 😬

miracle0812 · 21/01/2022 10:49

I just called up they said they are working on ones scanned in from 1st November and mine was scanned on 9th November 😬

Liveandlove91 · 21/01/2022 11:12

Fingers crossed I'm so nervous I really don't no how I would appeal mine for my son I sent everything I had x

SpookyScarySkeletons · 21/01/2022 11:33

Keeping everything crossed for everyone who is waiting
