to think that there's nothing more exciting in life than choosing a new diary/planner for the new year?

I don't think I spent this long choosing my childrens' pushchairs or even the family car!!

@Typecast you're a genius - we now both have rollerballs that take ink cartridges and have spent much of today comparing notes (literally!) Thank you so much for opening new stationery horizons!

It's only September but already thinking about my planner for next year. Glad I put this thread on my watchlist so I can find it again!

Umm, no.. I get a ringbound diary from The Works or similar every year. It HAS to be ringbound so it will lay flat, otherwise I don't care! The things that are written in it are more important!
Slightly miffed though with all the 'academic' diaries that are about. Don't get them. We've managed since time began with ordinary diaries, what IS this rubbish? ;-)

Some of the podcasters I listen to have already ordered. It is nice to hear ideas.

I need to reference the next year’s calendar in August so I often buy a 15-month diary.
But I’m using mine less and less.
DH is retired and I’ve handed most of the family admin over to him with a grateful sigh!
Last year I got a cute one from Amazon with monthly plans, shopping lists etc. none of which got used…
I have managed to keep a Kakeibo, though.

I've just pre-ordered a Miss Haiku Kokonote Miss Haiku Canvas A5 2023 Week To View Diary | January 2023 - December 2023 | 2023 Weekly Planner | A5 Planner With Stickers And Pocket | 2023 Diary | Cute Stationery amzn.eu/60JPKaM

I haven't heard of them before. I'm intrigued and it looks like it may open backwards, but what sold it to me is in the description it mentions books, film, and TV show lists. I have made those in every planner/journal so got too excited about ready made ones! If it's shit then it can be a new notebook.

Ideally, I want a journal with no monthly or yearly spreads cause I don't use them, preferably a day or two days to a page and LOTS of notes pages. I like A5 books. None of the ones I've looked at have appealed, even though they technically tick the boxes. I need Bujo-spiration.

Maybe I should treat myself and design my own on one of the websites listed above. I couldn't do the "buy a blank notebook and design your own pages" cause I would get annoyed by my lack of artistic ability and how it would end up looking.
