Ha! I knew it! I always picture him ruffling up his hair just before he steps in front of the cameras.

I read that Boris’ friends call him “Al”, not “Boris”. That didn’t surprise me either.

It’s part of his act, he messes it up deliberately before going out/on camera.

Exactly this. My friend was in the audience at Any Question long before Johnson was PM. She saw him in the wings messing up his hair.

It's not nearly as good an image as he clearly believes it to be. But I am sure it is deliberate. And, yes, I suspect a bald patch too.

It's deliberate. Interestingly styled exactly like my grandmother's to hide her thinking hairline! (Looks much better on her though!)

I don't care what anyone's hair looks like. I do care if someone is a lying scumbag.

I know one of his siblings quite well and have met Boris a couple of times through him, although I don't claim to know him. His family call him Al and the 'Boris' we see is a carefully cultivated persona. The 'Al' I met was quite different. Quite reserved.

I typically couldn't give a toss what people look like but he's the pm fgs, he's on the tele, delivering serious messages and it's not ok to look like a fucking clown.
