To be pissed off my husband lost his wedding jacket?

He went on his Christmas do and not only did he decide it was on to walk home 2 miles in not the best weather (I still can't believe his friends would let him do that) but he lost our wedding jacket, that does make very, very pissed off/sad.

My EXh lost his wedding jacket about 2 weeks before the said day . Note EX 🤣

Shiningpath · 04/12/2021 09:30

So wasted he loses jacket, keys and cash bonus. You’re horribly concerned about him walking two miles.

Then a few hours later he’s perfectly fine to walk or drive back to a pub that’s open at 9am where the jacket is magically found.

Calling bullshit on this whole thread.

TopTabby · 04/12/2021 09:30

He's doing well hangover wise if he's up & searching already!
Hopefully he'll find it.
A serious talk about drinking needs to be had as it sounds like he regularly goes too far & you're suffering because of it.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 04/12/2021 09:32

Anyways … the bonus was prob spent getting shots and shitfaced in the pub.

gannett · 04/12/2021 09:32

@OhRexy

Does anyone else really want to go out drinking with the OP's husband? I mean he's clearly a liability but he does sound fun.
I have a friend like this, she is a liability and also a lot of fun. We take care of her when she needs it!

Two miles isn't really that far. I've walked two miles home at night before. Not ideal but sometimes Uber and public transport both fail you. It's only just over 30 mins.

ancientgran · 04/12/2021 09:32

@StrongerOrWeaker

Couldn't get worked up about this. When I think about it, I am not sure where my wedding dress is!
Mine went to a charity shop. I wish it hadn't but when I got divorced I got rid of it. It was early 70s, purple midi and the most beautiful dress I ever owned.
wannalivelikecommonpeople · 04/12/2021 09:35

Presumably you have plenty of things to remember the Wedding with: rings, photos, each other?

You're being silly

Was he expected to keep it forever?

AliveAndSleeping · 04/12/2021 09:36
@AliveAndSleeping I don't see the issue. It's true.
Neither do I (I'm used to losing stuff) but that's not a reason to get nasty and try to make op feel worse. She's obviously attached to that jacket. What's the point of ridiculing it (and being nasty about Essex as well)?

MobyDicksTinyCanoe · 04/12/2021 09:36

Da1 in fairness it depends on the pub...... Im sat in my local right now eating breakfast.

TokyoDreaming · 04/12/2021 09:37

This is bollocks.

Terribleluck · 04/12/2021 09:38

I actually still keep a box of chocolates he gave me when we first started dating (and a bag of wotsits...) I'm a sentimental hoarder.

@Terribleluck

He thinks he only went to two places, but he can't remember when he took it off or if he dropped it, etc... His workmates always like to get him drunk, because he becomes the clown.
Do his workmates hold him down and pour the alcohol down his throat or does he do that himself?

Ooopsie, I forgot about those Blush Sorry OP - I'm pleased he got it backSmile
wannalivelikecommonpeople · 04/12/2021 09:40

If your babysitter cancelled, how were you able to pick him up?

Courtier · 04/12/2021 09:40

@AliveAndSleeping it would make her feel better to know that it's better lost than not if a certain style.

JHMJHM · 04/12/2021 09:40

Totally missing the point of the thread but noticed so many people saying 'anyways' instead of 'anyway' at the moment. Is it a thing? Regional?

Yeah this is problematic. Food rots. Throw it away.
NinaDefoe · 04/12/2021 09:42

RTFT and see that the drinking has been covered.

Glad he got his jacket back.

I think of it as a Canadian thing, it's very weird to see non-Canadians doing it.

OK I have a lot of questions now but I'm not sure I want the answers.

The empty box (and... empty packet?!), right. Right?!

Terribleluck · 04/12/2021 09:46

I think the chocolate box is empty, the wotsits bag is sealed.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 04/12/2021 09:48

So your eldest is nearly 16 but you couldn’t leave them even for a couple of hours to join your DH two miles away?

gannett · 04/12/2021 09:48

Why didn't you eat the wotsits at the time? Or when you felt like a snack a week later?
