To be devastated my McDonalds order is wrong (light hearted)

Very rarely have McDs but my car is in for its MOT so no transport nothing in the fridge and decided to get one delivered.

Was very excited

It took ages

When it got here:

My fries are missing
My drink is missing
My Festive Chicken thingy without bacon has bacon on it.
My Festive Chicken thingy does not however have any sauce on it. Just dry chicken and lettuce.
There are no dips for the nuggets they did manage to bring for DS.
There are no straws for the one drink they did send.

I have phoned the store over 20 times since 6pm and no one is answering. I now have no dinner. Though DS kindly donated a nugget :)

I've emailed the store and complained to the main customer service email thingy.

AIBU to be upset (not massively just petulantly and yes I know McDs is the devils food on every level but godammit I am HANGRY!)

Yanbu at all. I'd be devastated if my maccies was wrong yeah yeah I know, bit of an over reaction but I do love a maccies

I also rarely have McDonald’s and will have been building up to getting it - wouldn’t be able to survive the disappointment!!!

Hopefully I'll get a free maccies for another day but..........the disappointment is severe :)

I get sad when order a plain cheese and comes with all the crap on top..never mind half your order missing!

Oh no, that is awful, definitely feel your pain. I had similar, but doesn't sound as bad, a few months ago. Like you, a very rare occasion, queued for aeons at the drive thru, drove to carpark to eat while waiting for dc.... No salt! Horrific eating their chips with no salt. I'm only just over it.

DS's donated nugget whilst gratefully received was no great shakes without the BBQ sauce. :(

I was ready to jump in my car and drive round there and complain after the 9th call that they didn't answer.

Then I remembered my car is in the garage :(

I'm going to have a bubble bath to try and sooth my ragged soul.

I'd save my sympathy for the animal's that suffered tbh.

Ah, I order food in about 2 times a year. When I last did this, they forgot my noodle order and sent egg fried rice. I started on the rice as I was dying of hunger, then by the time the noodles arrived (after I complained) I was quite full and the noodles weren’t even that nice.
Sad times………..

My order was totally wrong earlier too. My festive chicken thingy had no cheese (wtf?), my fries were stone cold. I had a dip but no cheese melts, and my iced caramel frappé was undrinkable as it was full of massive bits of ice instead of tiny crushed ice bits.

I was so pissed off that I actually tried to complain using the ‘how did we do’ but on the receipt, which then ignored every time I said I was dissatisfied and only asked about the bits I was ok with.

This is why food delivery is such roulette!!

If it goes wrong- devastation.

YABU to get a maccies delivered. It mostly doesn't travel well. You should have got Indian or Chinese, or even a pizza.

to be honest that would really upset me. You need certainties in life. And McDonalds being what you expect is a certainty.

I only went for McDS because it’s cheap. You get (or don’t get) what you pay for I guess!

Years ago I went through the drive thru and got toddler Dd a nugget meal. Drove off and Dd was eating….she opened the bag of nuggets to find a fillet o fish in the bag. Not the burger, just the fish slice.

She was so disgusted she frisbee’d it at my head and I was driving along with a fish slice sliding down the side of my face! I don’t blame her to be honest!

I feel your pain, once my dominos came without any cheese, I was on the verge on tears. It was my treat that month, knowing I’d have to wait a whole month for another takeaway nearly sent me over the edge.

This sort of thing is exactly why I stopped going KFC as I couldn’t face the rage when they messed up the order. Maccies are usually really reliable to be fair. But yeah I feel your pain!

@RJnomore1 - all good here :). DS (he whose McDS order arrived unscathed) has just turned 10 😱.
