To be devastated my McDonalds order is wrong (light hearted)

Very rarely have McDs but my car is in for its MOT so no transport nothing in the fridge and decided to get one delivered.

Was very excited

It took ages

When it got here:

My fries are missing
My drink is missing
My Festive Chicken thingy without bacon has bacon on it.
My Festive Chicken thingy does not however have any sauce on it. Just dry chicken and lettuce.
There are no dips for the nuggets they did manage to bring for DS.
There are no straws for the one drink they did send.

I have phoned the store over 20 times since 6pm and no one is answering. I now have no dinner. Though DS kindly donated a nugget :)

I've emailed the store and complained to the main customer service email thingy.

AIBU to be upset (not massively just petulantly and yes I know McDs is the devils food on every level but godammit I am HANGRY!)

That's your whole order fucked up! No wonder your annoyed. You can legitimately be upset about that, you don't have to pretend you are being silly, it's your whole bloody dinner! Its not like just one thing is missing! (Was gonna say they forgot the dip but they did that too )

I hate it when takeaways get my order wrong, and with things like McDs it's so hard to get it rectified. At least with a local takeaway they are normally keen to sort things out so they don't lose customers. McDs don't give a flying fuck

The one nearest us is notoriously poor - people are always complaining about it on Facebook so we've never tried.

Op what app did you get the delivery through? You'll have more luck complaining there for a refund and reordering!

The other day I was self isolating with covid and subway delivered me ready salted walkers instead of tangy cheese doritos. I was going to save them for my evening film. Was pretty devastating tbh, such a shoddy replacement for tangy cheese doritos

I’ve just had a reply from the main McDS customer help. I was impressed with how quickly they’d replied. It apologised and said I would shortly receive an email containing a voucher. I did. For ten percent off my next order…..no…I just want the food I paid for or my money back - not 30p off the next Big Mac I order. That’s so woeful I’m actually laughing 😂.

Ready salted walkers are NO substitute for cheesy Doritos. So many tales of broken food dreams on here we should form a support group

To the person up thread saying about the animals -we are vegans and vegetarians!

I would have taken pictures, complained to McDs and eaten the festive chicken thing and decanted the drink into a glass.

Then raise merry hell tomorrow at McD’s woeful response.

I really want one too now. I had forgotten what coke tasted like in those massive cup with the straw sticking absurdly straight out of the top.

DS's donated nugget whilst gratefully received was no great shakes without the BBQ sauce. :(

Years ago I went through the drive thru and got toddler Dd a nugget meal. Drove off and Dd was eating….she opened the bag of nuggets to find a fillet o fish in the bag. Not the burger, just the fish slice.

She was so disgusted she frisbee’d it at my head and I was driving along with a fish slice sliding down the side of my face! I don’t blame her to be honest!

I got a McDonald's a few weeks ago, first one in ages as a hangover cure. The queue was so long, but I'd decided, that was it, I was having McDonald's. There was security (?!) On the door allowing us in one by one (it was a Saturday lunchtime) and i got rather over excited adding things to my order.

Paid, waited for my receipt and order number. Which never came. So I stood awkwardly by the busy staff who were frantically throwing things in bags and shrieking order numbers with no idea which was mine.

I pulled myself together when I realised I was actually getting slightly panicky at the thought that I might NEVER see my McDonald's and managed to catch the eye of a lovely server who found it for me.

I couldn't quite believe my angst over a McDonald's but when you get a MacAttack, you have no choice but to feed the beast. I can't imagine the devastation of missing items in a delivery

Who did you order via? You probably need to contact Uber eats/deliveroo/just eat etc. As they will issue a refund.

Twitter is the way to go.
I had a bad KFC a few weeks ago and I got a tenner voucher from them.

Always the same! In our house we celebrate if the order is correct, either deliver or in store. Not rocket science really, they even have instruction cards on how to make up the burgers for god sake!
