To be devastated my McDonalds order is wrong (light hearted)

Very rarely have McDs but my car is in for its MOT so no transport nothing in the fridge and decided to get one delivered.

Was very excited

It took ages

When it got here:

My fries are missing
My drink is missing
My Festive Chicken thingy without bacon has bacon on it.
My Festive Chicken thingy does not however have any sauce on it. Just dry chicken and lettuce.
There are no dips for the nuggets they did manage to bring for DS.
There are no straws for the one drink they did send.

I have phoned the store over 20 times since 6pm and no one is answering. I now have no dinner. Though DS kindly donated a nugget :)

I've emailed the store and complained to the main customer service email thingy.

AIBU to be upset (not massively just petulantly and yes I know McDs is the devils food on every level but godammit I am HANGRY!)

This always happens when ds orders chicken select thingys. I'd be gutted if my fries didn't turn up !

Why is it they never send extra stuff though, it's always something missing or they don't have any milkshakes

As one time I ordered a breakfast thing thinking it was prepared to order and i ticked no bacon but when I opened it there was a small piece of bacon inside it which made me think they just remove it and don’t actually make it to order 😐

I had a similarly traumatic episode the other night. Got a dominos for the first time in ages and I’m obsessed with their cookies. Savoured the pizza whilst greedily eyeing up the cookie box which is frankly the best bit of the meal.

Finally opened the box to gorge on the gooey goodness to find .. a stone cold garlic pizza bread thing. No cookies. A complete travesty.

If you ordered via UberEats then you need to contact them via the app for a refund, and they should sort it out.

They make everything fresh these days, other wise how would you remove sauce. It was just bad luck some bacon was probably stuck on the bit of grill the other item was on.

They sent our last delivery via Uber on a BIKE. I opened the bags to find all the drinks half spilled out and all the ice melted. All the chips were cold.
But what broke the camels back was they forgot my sweet chilli dip. I can forgive cold chips… but the dip - I cried.
(I’m in peri and my hormones are as messed up as my 14yo DD’s - it’s fun in our house, can’t you tell? )

When they messed up my order I just got a £5 off voucher for next time… no fries is rubbish!

I’m still ringing them abs emailing. DH has just said “I’ve never seen you this focused on anything in your life. Your taking this to The Hague aren’t you?”

McDs are so shit! They always leave something out.

They ask when you order chicken Selects which sauces you want. And they literally never put them in. I’ve taken to asking when they hand it over - are the dips in there, as the last couple of times they haven’t been - and they say “yes dips are in the bag”. Spoiler alert the fuxking dips are not in the bag!

Oh that shitty customer service would wind me up too! Are they suggesting that the delivery driver ate your fries? Did they also steal the sauce and put bacon in your burger?!

Exactly! Poor Ivan from Uber is being accused of many crimes including adding unwanted bacon in transit.

I’ve now been told I need to ring the manager tomorrow. Which I will.

DH has implored me to leave the poor work experience child on the messaging alone come to bed and forget about it and he will make me a bacon sandwich in the morning. Which is perhaps sensible. I’m just narked that their customer service has been so shitty.

It’s awful. I paid for food. I did not get the food and they are like - not our fault. Perhaps my love affair with McDonalds is over :(
