Low waged workers who have worked throughout the pandemic are taking an absolute hammering via UC cuts, council tax rises, the energy crisis and food shortages. What the fuck are these dickheads playing at? Fannying around with Joe Biden who couldn't give a rat's ass what's going on here (and is senile anyway) and passing laws about dognapping while distribution of essential goods grinds to a fucking halt. What are they even doing in that building while everything turns to shit outside of it?

ChurchofLatterDayPaints · 24/09/2021 20:43

That's Tories for you.

They'll keep on with this shit until we stop them. Short-term there's little to do except realise the system's fucked and start looking for alternatives, medium-long term ramp up the collective action by joining the Electoral Reform Society and Make Votes Matter, and get these people out.

lovelyupnorth · 24/09/2021 20:43

Some fuckers voted for these clowns.

AmericanTie · 24/09/2021 20:46

Agree with both of you, you are so right.

But in the meantime I am stating that they are taking the fucking piss.

ConsulTremas · 24/09/2021 20:47

Just imagine how you’re going to feel when they get returned at the next election with another healthy majority.

Truly dismal.

AmericanTie · 24/09/2021 20:48

Oh fuck my life that's true.

OP posts:
Feelslikealot · 24/09/2021 20:49

What can we do about it? There's NO opposition in this country. The working class are too busy keeping their heads above water to sit around protesting.

CoRhona · 24/09/2021 20:51

Agree with everything except the unnecessary comment on Biden. I'd rather have a million Bidens in charge that the clown who was before him. 🤡

ArblemarchTFruitbat · 24/09/2021 20:52

Yep, they are in Bozo's bubble - they've no clue what's happening to the ordinary person.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 24/09/2021 20:52

Yes they are taking the piss. Don’t agree about Biden, but other than that.

AmericanTie · 24/09/2021 20:52

I honestly don't know. We should all be rising up. I am pretty fucking certain of that

But ... Labour is shit and has been for a long time. All the identity politics and victim hierarchy seems to have done away with labour. Just when we needed them. I mean we actually need a party that represents the workers. Ie me. But Kier isn't representing me. It's so fucked.

OP posts:
AmericanTie · 24/09/2021 20:53

Re Biden, he falls over. He's a puppet.

OP posts:
ChurchofLatterDayPaints · 24/09/2021 20:58

Plenty people can do.

Stop reading the DM, start getting outraged at the corruption in govt, stop wanting Keir Starmer to be a Labour leader. The UK has NO opposition party and it's a fucking disgrace.

Start demanding what you want instead of complaining about what you don't want.

This is not a criticism of anybody but enough's enough.

OP is being totally reasonable. They are taking the piss, the system is finished, the Tories are BASTARDS, the Labour party is useless, and people need to fucking wake up to what's going on and start believing in themselves and take back control.

hayley037 · 24/09/2021 21:03

The entire thing is the making of the Tories, where they impoverished so many and made things so shit that it opened the door for spivs like Farage to exploit, and ultimately Johnson, King of Con-artists. 49% of the people are below average IQ, and you only needed 35-40% of them to turn out and do the bidding.

FurzeMinister · 24/09/2021 21:03

Of course they are. And they will continue to do so until there is a credible opposition, which there is not in the UK as a whole or in any area of the UK where the opposition looks interested in seceeding.

hayley037 · 24/09/2021 21:05

Still curious as to what chaos with Ed Milliband would be like.

Imagine in that chaos you may have supermarkets fully stocked up, still in EU, no looming energy crisis, god that does not sound strong and stable

Awalkintime · 24/09/2021 21:05

They're all a crock of shit so we'd have had a shite government with anyone else in charge too.

Ilikewinter · 24/09/2021 21:12

Do you think Labour will announce any big polices from their conference this weekend?
We desperately need a strong opposition party to vote for

AmericanTie · 24/09/2021 21:20

I honestly don't think so. The only policy that would make a difference is to raise minimum wage and back workers campaigning for plus minimum wage.

This labour party won't do that. It's all about the woke bros. Who already earn loads.

OP posts:
TartanJumper · 24/09/2021 21:21

They've been taking the piss since 2010.
But yet people still vote them in, so it's what people seem to want.
Depressing, isn't it?

ChurchofLatterDayPaints · 24/09/2021 21:21

"Labour" in its current state are just Tory simps.

Starmer should have wiped the floor with Boris and Toryshambles and destroyed his (44 percent) "majority" by now. Instead, he just looks and sounds pathetic and continues to alienate real socialists. Tory Lite.

TartanJumper · 24/09/2021 21:22

It's the system thats broken. More people voted for other parties than voted for the conservative party.
I'd rather have some form of PR, but I doubt thats ever going to happen.

TartanJumper · 24/09/2021 21:23

Agree. A competent leader of the opposition would wipe the floor with BoJo and co.

Mischance · 24/09/2021 21:23

Well you know what to do at the next election............

ChurchofLatterDayPaints · 24/09/2021 21:25

Yes TartanJumper I completely agree, the system is broken.

So we sit there and take it???

Public opinion matters, and can change things. It's how to galvanise it that's the problem. There is so much apathy in Britain.

Cosmos123 · 24/09/2021 21:27

If thr opposition still can't lead in the current shitshow.

Then is there any hope?
