To ask what to do if anything about neighbours loud shagging?

Lived here a couple of months. Amazing house semi-detached. Next door has 3 young kids.

Over the last week, NDNs have been having such noisy sex that the wardrobes in the bedroom are shaking. She’s a screamer, and she then wakes her own baby which starts screaming too! Last night, they shagged and screamed til the baby woke up, got it back to sleep, then shagged and sleep til it woke up screaming again!

We are tired! And work FT.

Having had noisy neighbours in the past I’d hoped for a fresh start here. Am tempted to put a note through the letterbox but DH says no 😆

AIBU to ask what (if anything) to do?!

YANBU - pop a note through
YABU - here’s a better idea…

Any one who thinks they have no control over their own volume is a total liar 🤣 sometimes a scream is nice, sure, but you can choose not to!

Must be the same people who also claim they can't sneeze without it being louder than a jumbo jet...

Did anyone else read the title and think this thread might be about you?

DerbyshireMama · 16/09/2021 11:14

Yeah jokes aside this is seriously messed up when they have children in the house. You should report it OP. I'm not trying to be dramatic but anything could be going on in that house.

BobbiPinsOn · 16/09/2021 11:21
Hmm
ShaggerDoDoDo · 16/09/2021 11:38

@LindaEllen

If your wardrobes are shaking, there is something seriously wrong with the structure of your house. OR. They must be monsters, transformed into their natural state to have sex, if they're doing it with such power. They'll probably have little monster babies who eat you in your sleep. I'd stay on the right side of them.
The survey results were fine 😆 It’s a fitted wardrobe with sliding doors. The doors shake because presumably the bed is against that wall and by goodness they are going for it!

I think SS is a bit overkill… but I do think that the baby waking and screaming in some distress - not crying but screaming - should have been enough to alert people to the fact they’re being too loud!!!

@cricketmum84

Not 'jizzed in my pants' 😂 I just listened to some of their songs on YouTube and giggled like a teenage girl all over again!

MaggieFS · 16/09/2021 11:46

Oh god, I remember those jizz in my pants songs!

OP, you could put together quite a sound track. Does anyone else remember I Wanna Sex You Up? I've just had to check who it was by... Color Me Badd. Presumably a one hit wonder.

Also Right Said Fred Too Sexy could go on the list.

cricketmum84 · 16/09/2021 11:53

Let's talk about sex??

Let's get it on??

Freak me?? (Another level of nobody remembers that one!"

😂

Alternista · 16/09/2021 11:54

If your DH isnt up for a note, I reckon I’d probably go for a knock on the door and ask if all was ok as you can hear screaming late at night.

Horst · 16/09/2021 12:15

Pope a note though the door. Or have a loud mobile conversation with a friend when you know they are in the garden about the loud sex you hear.

These are my preferred options!!!

Join in?

Ask for tips for staying that active after 3 kids?

Scream fake orgasm sounds back so they realise the walls are thin?

Send them flowers with the note as above?

EatYourVegetables · 16/09/2021 13:46

Did anyone else read the title and think this thread might be about you?

No. I could manage the volume but not the frequency. Grin

Blossomtoes · 16/09/2021 13:48

Cheer them on? Obviously loud enough so they hear and are hopefully embarrassed?

Perfect. Loud round of applause and whoops when they finish.

I live in a detached house with no property within 30 metres but I’m still worried it could be me

Honest

We had a problem with neighbours for something similar. Our bedroom overlooks their garden and their bedroom window. We also live in the country.

One hot summers night (so all the windows were open) we were woken at 3am by them having sex. (She was a proper screamer). So the following morning DH asked them if they'd heard the badgers mating and screaming in the garden, as they'd been very loud.

Never heard them again. Grin

WildFlowerBees · 16/09/2021 14:12

I was woken up a few years ago in a hotel thinking there was an earthquake as my bed was moving. When I got my bearings and heard the huffing and puffing and screaming from beyond the wall I realised not an earthquake just people next door. I wrote them a note. I gave them 2/10 and said she clearly faked it and if they woke me up again I'd call the ambulance because she was clearly in pain. Silence from then on!

MrsTesfaye · 16/09/2021 14:34

Thats hilarious @WildFlowerBees, threatening to ring an ambulance because of all the screaming 🤣 🤣 🤣

Badgerbonce · 16/09/2021 14:42

Get some symbals and bash them together each time

.or hoover against the skirting each am v v loudly bashing it on the skirting.

Badgerbonce · 16/09/2021 14:44

Or shout are you ok ?

BudrosBudrosGalli · 16/09/2021 14:45

Light up a fag afterward. Or casually ask them if they are trying to exorcise demons at night...

Youdoyoutoday · 16/09/2021 14:46

Screaming so loud that she wakes up her own baby??? What a fucking bellend!!
Good luck trying to reason with that level of stupidity!!

DixonD · 16/09/2021 14:53

I think I would just bang on the wall at the time.

spiderlight · 16/09/2021 15:00

Surely the only appropriate MN answer is to call 101 and ask the police to go round and do a welfare check because you can hear screaming.
(Obvs do not do this really!!)
