Inspired by another thread!

Whatever happened to certain celebs? So many were really quite popular/successful/infamous/famous at one point only to seemingly disappear off the
face off the earth. Where did they go?

Insert the missing celeb. I’ll go first with a few:-

• Sam Smith (sang Black and Gold- love that song)
• Samantha Mumba (Irish singer)
• Shola Ama (You Might Meet Somebody singer)

Sam Smith is still working and recording, they've recently done a song for the Dear Evan Hansen soundtrack.

Samantha Mumba is apparently releasing an album later this year.

No idea where Shola Ama is now but didn't she get involved with drunks and lose her record deal?

Although - it was Sam Sparro that sang Black and Gold. So maybe that's why!

And yes, @Mamette, you’re right about the original artist but I remember her being known for the song in my childhood. It was everywhere for a while!

And Melinda was also v popular- in OK! mag all the time!

Simon Amstell. I've seen an advert for a new series of buzzcocks and it made me wonder where he disappeared to. Me and dh loved him on it

Simon and Miquita used to be great on T4 together- a fab double act!

Tracey Shaw took some time out but is back acting.

Melinda Messenger probably aged out of her career! Apparently she was very canny and owned the copyright to her images, so earned £££.

Samantha Mumba lives in LA with her husband and daughter. Was on Irish TV chat show last week (week before?). Hasn’t aged a day.

Going from my local newspaper Melinda Messenger is an anti vaxxer :

Melinda Messenger threw her backing behind anti-vaccine and anti-lockdown protesters in London with a post on social media.

People held signs and chanted “freedom” as they gathered in Parliament Square on Monday after almost all remaining coronavirus restrictions were lifted in England.

The 50-year-old presenter and former glamour model, who was born in Swindon, retweeted a video of protesters outside the parliament with the hashtags #ArrestBorisJohnson, #NoVaccinePassportsAnywhere, and #NoMandatoryVaccine.

@mintich wow, amazing. I was not expecting the slight country vibe.

@Tigresswoods, just googled Gryff Rhys Jones and he appears to be fine- 67 years young!
