Inspired by another thread!

Whatever happened to certain celebs? So many were really quite popular/successful/infamous/famous at one point only to seemingly disappear off the
face off the earth. Where did they go?

Insert the missing celeb. I’ll go first with a few:-

  • Sam Smith (sang Black and Gold- love that song)
  • Samantha Mumba (Irish singer)
  • Shola Ama (You Might Meet Somebody singer)

Funnily enough, I rewatched a Girls Aloud show- the audition process- on YouTube and was thinking the same thing about Pete Waterman. He really was the original Simon Cowell wasn’t he? And he had such success with his early bands, and then Steps too.

I think Kate Thornton had a son and does bits and bobs as an influencer now and then? She was part of the All Saints/Denise V O gang- the 90s ladettes. As a quiet, shy person, I couldn’t be bothered to be that outgoing but was in awe of them!

Melinda Messenger probably aged out of her career!

Good phrase 'aging out'. This is it isn't it, they age out. It shows make the money whilst the iron is hot.

Others who have disappeared to me:
Rihanna (I know she threw a shape at the Met thing but, where is the music)
Daniel Day Lewis
Pity Victoria Beckham didn't just go away and sit on her millions.
Cheryl Tweedy also aging out quite desperately.

What happened to George Lamb - was on BBC 6Music about 11 years ago and not heard him since.

And yes I wonder about Jodie Marsh - she was quite troubled I think so I hope things have worked out for her

I saw Simon amstell at a stand up gig a month ago. He was far far filthier doing stand up than he was on a panel show! Was v funny though.
