To ask what vaccine side effects you had?

Not intended to be a debate on whether or not to get the vaccine, just purely interested in people's side effects and which particular vaccine they had? I'm finally taking the plunge today after much deliberation and being really unsure due to breastfeeding a baby and severe anxiety. But I'm very worried about how I'm going to feel afterwards and whether I'll feel well enough to care for my baby. Any experiences?

I had AZ
First one was in the morning, I had a headache at about 11am and then flu like symptoms overnight. Woke up at 8am ish feeling a bit hungover and tired but I basically slept through the worst of it overnight
Second one - nothing

Hi OP.
I had Pfizer and I was fine both times, slightly achey arm and slightly tired. But fine. It’s a real lottery as some people have side effects and some don’t. My partner felt like he had a hangover after his second jab. But unfortunately it’s not possible to predict which camp you’ll fall into.

Me, AZ - tender arm for a few days
No other symptoms

I had AZ and had flu symptoms in the middle of the night (about 18 hours after the jab) which had gone my morning and then nothing but a sore arm. DSs both had Pfizer and had nothing bar a sore arm for a couple of days.

It varies so much though!

AZ flu like symptoms 2 days after both vaccines. Few hours in bed and all good. Friends had Pfizer, fine after first and full body rashes 7 days after 2nd but felt fine!

Exactly the same except no headache. Just mild flu like symptoms over night, tired the next day, and nothing with the second.

I had the AZ and I just felt extra tired for a few days after. I took a nap when I could and went to bed earlier for a couple days.

AZ - first dose I had a small level of CV19 symptoms for about 6 hours - tiredness mainly and a slightly easier temperature.

No issues at all with the second dose and no arm issues with either (unlike the flu jab I had last November).

I had CV19 in March 2020 and have got it again now after a recent trip abroad. It's no where near as bad as my first experience of the disease and I'm glad I've had the vaccine as it seems to have reduced the impact on my body this time around.

Pfizer
1st - no symptoms at all, not even a sore arm
2nd - fatigue, muscle aches, painful swelling in the lymph node under the arm I had the jab in

AZ x 2 = no side effects at all.

Had the AZ and felt nothing with the 1st but the 2nd made me feel like I'd been punched in the arm but it only lasted a day

My mum, husband, brother and I all had AZ.

All the rest just had a sore arm with both doses.

With the 1st dose I was a mess. Temp of 40 for 3 days (wouldn't come below 39 with all the meds) I just had to try and sleep. Severe rigors. I couldn't do much more than go to the bathroom for 3 days and had to have 5 days off work as I was totally drained. Symptoms started around 7 hours after (I had it at work and started while I was still there, my husband had to get me as I felt so bad)

I was terrified about having the next one but was absolutely fine. Just a bit of an aching arm but other than that was fine.

40°+ temperature
Shakes
Fatigue

Started 6 hours post jag, temperature lasted 24 hrs, fatigue lasted a few days.

Second jag, didn't even have a sore arm.

Second dose of AZ triggered full blown psoriasis flare. All over my body. I have never had psoriasis in my life before. I'm thoroughly miserable. Most people will be fine but I'm not.

Pfizer - very achy and tired for a day then very foggy for a few days (like a hangover) After the second one nothing.

I had Pfizer. First jab - no symptoms apart from achey arm. Second jab - achey arm and woke up next day feeling hungover but that passed after some sleep

DH had AZ. First Jab - flu like symptoms for a couple of days. Second jab - very mild achey arm

I had Pfizer, no side effects for either dose.

My partner had AstraZeneca and had a fever the night after the first dose. He was fine by morning, and no side effects after the second dose.

For those who had flu like symptoms did this cause you to be bedridden or would you have felt able to look after a 5 month old baby if you'd needed to? This is my biggest worry 😕

I had moderna.

First one fine, sore arm.

Second one I had at 8am. Felt tired in the afternoon but able to do things still. At night got the shakes and felt like death for about 4 hours but by the next morning it was almost gone other than feeling a bit rough!
